sounds grim but i didn't even use the toothpaste i was so swollen and could barely use my arms think i had some gum and had to wait to get home for OH to help me wash and get dressed etc! Best to be over prepared than under prepared but I wouldn't worry about going out and buying/spending loads xx

Something button up the front for the journey home, slippers, mags, but to be honest I didn't use anything I took either. I was so sleepy after surgery that I stayed in the gown. I did manage to brush my teeth and stick on a little make up before I left though lol! Only to prove a point to my OH! Childish I know.

It's recommended that you have button up because you will have very restricted arm movements. And reaching and pulling are pretty much impossible. X

I'm the same as Nicole, I took loads that I didn't use. I would suggest getting an electric toothbrush to avoid the arm movement with a manual one. I got one from Boots reduced from like £100 to £40. Thats just me though hun. Button up nightshirt or a light dressing gown as well xxx

I read on here flip flops or slip ons for the journey home are great aswell so you dont have to bend over fiddling with shoes...
I also read that hard sweets to suck on are great for afterwards too...
Thats a good point Nicole and Selena... im going to take chewing gun incase i cant brush my teeth lol...

And if you take phone etc then the chargers :) Defo button up pjs or clothes for the journey home and im thinking of taking my Vpillow for the journey home the next day to put between my chest and seatbelt :) xx

Primark have a button up night shirt, best thing I bought, as it was too painful for a heavy duvet after, so it kept my shoulders warm over night! I didn't use much if what I took either as there was a TV in the room, just had a couple of things to watch on my PlayBook. Electric toothbrush is also a must! Even if it is just a novelty kids one, it's better than a manual!
