2nd consultation

I went for a consultation yest with THG. I have previously had one with bmi Glasgow.
What a difference between the two.
I found the hospital group very modern, clean and regimented. The surgeon seemed to read from a script and kept rubbing his eyes with tiredness. He had a booklet to fill in and I was definitely treated as a patient. I was told to take my top off and stand against the wall, my husband later told me my face looked as though I was about to be shot lol

Bmi was an old comforting homely building. Ben Chew the surgeon asked us to call him Ben and not Dr. He asked all about our kids, how far we'd travelled and tales of his own wife and children. He included my husband in every conversation. When it came to taking my top off I was totally as ease and trusted Ben.
I an so glad you ladies advised me to go for a second opinion. I now jnow I have made the right decision to go with Ben x

Glad you have found 'the one' its a very personal choice and it definately makes sense to have more than one consult to find the right person. Now you can look forward to your new boobies!!

Really pleased you're happy lovely... That second consultation really does make all the difference doesn't it, to either confirm your decision or to see that there is better out there.

ah so pleased for you babe. as cookie said, a 2nd consultation is always worth while even if only to confirm that the 1st surgeon you saw is definitely the one. Agree with what you say about the big clinics reading from scripts. I want to start a bapras campaign!!! haha

Newboobz- ure implants are what I have been recommended to have. What were ure stats b4 and what are you expecting them to b once the implants settle. I am 9st and 5'6". And a 34a x

Glad that you've found the right one. My surgeon also works for BMI but isn't BAAPS or BAPRAS registered, doesn't make him any worse a surgeon tho x

You're right lovely. There are some very good surgeons on the specialist register of plastic surgery that aren't members of of BAAPS/BAPRAS. The only difference is that BAAPS/BAPRAS are a name of assurity, so you KNOW you're getting a good surgeon (saves a bit of leg work if you like because you know the checks have been done for you) but if you research surgeons who aren't members and check their qualifications on the GMC register and are happy and confident with the surgeon then you're right lovely they're no lesser surgeon at all. X

hey sweets, i'm 5'5 and pre op i was around 9st6. I think i'll end up 34dd once i'm dropped and fluffed

Our stats are very similar. I was hoping for a large c but then I get confused when every1 says a dd will look smaller than a natural dd.
So mayb if I was like u and measuring a dd I will look like the full c I want arghhhhhh so blooming complicated. Ures look great x

There's so much confusion with this, that's why it's great being on this forum because all the girls say to not get hung up on a bra size, take a picture of a pair that you like to your consultation instead. What you imagine to be a C cup could be quite different to what i imagine would be a C cup where as if you show me a picture then there is just no debate really is there? x

I'm all booked to have my boobs made girlie on the 17th of May. I have to work round school holidays and the kids hectic social lifes!!

Well done on booking lovely that's the most nerve wracking thing i've done so far is actually hand over the money cos at that stage it just seems so final x x x x
