Try buying some cotton wool wadding babe and cushioning under your armpits, that should help sweetness. If you keep taking it off hun you won't be getting the benefit of the reasons why it prescribed for you hun. Xx

Mine didn't hurt. Sometimes the velcro would rub. But the band should be applying a light downward pressure it was never uncomfortable xox

I wore mine for 6 weeks. Initially I was wearing mine too tight. At my one week check surgeon loosened it as it's not supposed to mark your skin xx

If its that painful even with cushioning hun do call your clinic and ask to have the band checked. It may be that they can cut away under the arms for you? but you need to have something done or changed. It really is pointless if you're constantly having to remove the band babe, it defeits the object of wearing it hun. So do go back sweetie and get yourself made more comfortable. X

Hi, I had mine on for 2 weeks and it was so uncomfortable but after a week my nurse said I could give myself an hour in the evening with it off just so I could relax a bit without the constant pressure.
I sure was glad to lose that thing but I have a feeling from what I've read above I may have been wearing it way too tight :-/
Have you tried wearing it over your support bra (if you're not already), it may give extra cushion.
Also my nurse gave me some square surgical pads to cut up and fold over the under arm parts where it rubs - that might help :)

Hi Lauren, did you have overs by any chance? I thought most compression bands were given to patients that went under the muscle but looking at some of the responses on here I guess some overs get them too, but that maybe why you didn't get one if you did go over x

Don't compare your own recovery to that of others babe. Your BA is tailored to your own body and therefore recovery instruction will differ from patient to patient. Some will wear a breast band, some will be taped up, some will wear compression bandages and some will simply have dressings over their incision.

Your dressings were right for YOU lovely, so don't worry, your surgeons methods are to ensure you get the best result for YOUR body in the same way those that have other kinds of dressings will be right for them so they inturn get the best result for themselves hun. X

I had to wear mine for 1 week and hated it. But now at 5 weeks I sneakily Shifty wear it some nights and some days at work. I find it really comfy and it holds the boobies down. Maybe I'm just weird.

This goes to show how everyones case is diff, I met sarahkathryn25 ( wavey )in hospital and we had the same surgeon and size/type implant yet the nurse said I could take mine off at my post op check (day 8). Each case has to be determined individually so you best see what you are told. x
