I stopped after about 5 days cause the back pain was awful, but ive seen that you only need to have your head above your shoulders dont sleep too upright

also put a pillow under your knees and that helps xx

You only need your head slightly above your shoulders Hun, at 3weeks you can
Sleep less raised than what you are just a pillow and v pillow is enough. A rolled up towel in the small of your back or under knees can help.

What I did was sleep on my back but with my knees twisted to the side slightly with a pillow between them, and that was pretty comfy.

You won't do any damage to them sleeping on your side but I know I couldn't for quite a while but that position I could get a good sleep. X

I was told 2 weeks for being propped up, then I was allowed to sleep on my side. I would say, sleep how you feel most comfortable.

I just slept on my back on my V pillow for 5 days then started to move round on to my side cuddling the pillow with fluffy socks stuffed between my boobs! I didn't have too much swelling and it went down quite quick. Just listen to your body hun, High 5 for doing so well in your back at 3 weeks xx

Hiya, don't want to hijack but this "head above shoulders" thing... Is that really all it is? I've been sleeping almost sat up with about 6 pillows... I'm on day 5 now do we think I can lose a few?

Yes there's no need for that many!!! X just a pillow or two and a v pillow is sufficient x :ok:

hi
my surgeon said first week upright, than sleep as normal, but think you would naturally protect yourself if there's any discomfort during the night, think your body will move if it hurt?

Sleeping upright doesn't actually mean sleeping upright, sleep as you feel comfatable just as long as your head and shoulders are above chest to help swelling . X use your v pillow to support your arms and shoulders . X
