It's just until swelling goes down, I had to sleep propped up until my first check up about 10 days! It is an absolute nightmare though, I couldn't get a good nights sleep until I could lay on my side!

Try using a pillow under your knees and two either side of your body... It may help a little until you get the all clear to sleep how you like x

I had to also wait 10 days but I did find most mornings I woke up right down the bed pretty much flat still propped up by my v-pillow, lol! It is really tough but I'm now used to sleeping on my back and still do...I can now however side sleep which is great! It's really not that long in the grand scheme of things :) xx

I found this the worst part of the recovery! I was a front sleeper and I only managed to get onto my side at about 3 weeks post op as it was too uncomfortable! I am 10 weeks post op now and I still dont sleep on my front but I sleep on my side with 2 big pillows whereas before I only used to have 1 flat pillow! I just got used to being propped up!!

I know we have to try and sleep on our back, but do we have to be propped up aswel after 10 days? Thats the worst part!!

I have managed to prop myself up and sleep on my back for 8 nights and my back is absolutely killing me!!! I wake up in agony with my back, not my boobs!!!

I suppose though, the longer you can sleep on your back propped up, the better right?

I didn't realise you have to sleep on your back post op but it makes sense!! I really wish I could sleep on my back now but because I am pregnant I've been told to sleep on my sides (preferably left)! So I'm a bit jealous of all of you back sleepers...and ur new boobs (mine r changing by the day but not in a good way!!)

Until the swelling goes down, you will know when you are ready to start sleeping on your side or lower down, it does get frustrting but it wont be for long.
