pains a year and half later...
Hi Girls,
Sorry it's been a while since i've last been on here. I had my BA with donut lift about a year and half ago? (I think...time has flown by) But...I've been suffering pains in my left breast for about a week now. I was hoping it would just go away, but it has shooting pains going through it, the only way I can relieve it is literally by holding my boob.
Wondering what's going on here? Can my nerves start healing now, this late down the line? (Actually, it is a lot more sensitive now in comparison to my right breast, so maybe it is healing?) But I'm worried it could be the start of CC? Anyone else had this?!
Thanx Grls x

Re: pains a year and half later...
I doubt it your nerves causing the pain this long after your surgery lovely.
Have you done anything strenuous lately that might have caused you to possibly pull a muscle?
Have you noticed any other symptoms? Changes in breast shape or positioning?

I did go to the gym about two/three weeks ago trying to work my chest...but the pains started about a week after that? Shape and position seems fairly normal, still very squishy and not hard to the touch. Was thinking of popping down to my GP, but maybe my best bet is just to go back to my surgeon for a checkup? x

Re: pains a year and half later...
Your GP will probably just send you back to your surgeon anyway hun, so maybe just make an appointment to see the surgeon direct.
It does sound like more than just a coincidence that the pain started a week after you started working your chest muscles doesn't it babe.
Whilst your waiting to see your surgeon keeping your boobs supported in a high impact support bra might help hun. Keeping the breast stable and ensuring there's as little movement as possible so that if it is a strain the muscle is given a chance to heal hun.
If not and all looks well you may be requested to have an ultrasound/CT scan to check all is well with the implant. This won't be at the clinics cost though babe, it will be yours. Xx

Re: pains a year and half later...
Thanks cookie, some good advice there. Think I will ring through tomorrow. Might aswell get it all sorted out while I have some time off!
Ah it's all money isn't it? Think I'm gonna have to pay for a consultation because it's been over a year a since i've had them done. Oh well, I guess it's better safe than sorry!
Will let you know how I get on, pray it isn't anything serious! X

Id personally give it a week in your sportsbra first hun. It may be that keeping the breast stable will help and if it does then it saves you the cost of a consultation doesn't it hun. If not, then yes, it would be best to see your surgeon
Got my fingers crossed for you Xx

Re: pains a year and half later...
It does depend on how long your aftercare covers you as to whether you will have to pay to see the surgeon. Which companydid you go with. Cookie has given you fab advice. If it is a pulled muscle it can take upto 6 weeks to heal fully
Re: pains a year and half later...
6 weeks?! Oh jeez, I need to take it easy for a bit then :/ I went with spire, not sure how long the aftercare was, i think it's a year? I will have to dig my documents out and have a look! XXX
