implants - do they look the same once in ? Empty implants - do they look the same once in ?

Post by flowermanc 9th June 2012, 6:57 pm

hey girls

do i went for my a 2nd consult today to run few a few more things one being sizes.

I showed a photo of the look i was after which the photo was of a 240cc implant measured a full C simler stats to myself, i had the choice between 270 or 300 surgeon thought possibly a 300 would take me there when i tried both on the 300 seemed to have alot more projection than the 270 and i thought it looked slightly to much so i thought it would be better to go with the 270. He explained because i have such a narrow chest both them impants are going to have projection and bring out a result with me.

When you girls tried on your implants at your consultation was the size pretty much the same once they were in, did you find that they looked smaller once inside you ? x

Mine look quite a lot smaller now they' re in than the implants did in a sports bra. Saying that, I went a few months from trying my implants on initially to when I had my BA so I often wonder how much my memory had altered during that time! I felt top heavy when I tried the implants on, but post op I still think my bums bigger than my boobs. Hysterical

Did you ask your surgeon which he thought would be better for your frame/what you want to achieve? He could always take both into surgery and decide on the day if you're unsure between the two. x

Hiya, are you having overs or unders? I know unders come up a bit smaller once they're compressed by the muscle xx

Its pretty much left up to me to choose really, he said he couldnt go any bigger than a 325 with my frame. I think maybe i should ask if he can order two just incase.

Im having Unders i did mention would i loose any cc but he say it would be hardly anything. Im thinking if they are going to look smaller once in it might be worth going with the larger cc to make up for it, i know everyone says to always opt for the bigger size but with me suffering from stretch marks and really not wanting to look to big its difficult hmmm seeing stars

I went for a slightly bigger size (240) as I didn't want to lose any volume if I went for a 210 and personally I'm really pleased I did it as I'd have always wished I'd gone bigger if not...i had unders too and I'm really happy with the size.

Would advise going slightly bigger but everyone's different and you need to do what feels right for you. My PS did order 210 in case the 240 didn't look right but I ended up with the 240s on the day yahoo

Hope this helps chick xx

Definitely ask to have both on the day, that way you can think it through and not feel pressured to make a decision until you're ready.

Did you discuss your concerns regarding stretch marks with your surgeon? It's worth thinking, would you rather feel a little on the small side but avoid extra stretch marks, or is it worth the possibility of a few more stretch marks in order to go for bigger? I think deciding on size feels a little bit like going to a sweet shop and having too many options!

If you don't decide you can always chose leave it up to your surgeon when you're under... That may give him a better idea of what's ideal for you.

Either way there isn't a massive difference between the two, I think you'll be happy with whatever you pick Stars X

I tried on the 210 implants in my PS's office, and wore 210 rice boobs the week before my op as well. I ended up with 240 which are similar to 210 the 210 when I'd tried them on. I'd say add a size to the one you try, though I find the difference minimal anyhow, but just to avoid being disappointed. Unders may look smaller at first, but the muscles do loosen so it's generally a temporary difference, you shouldn't lose much size.

My PS ordered me 210 and 240, and I trusted him to choose the right one during the op. I showed him quite a few pics of results I'd be happy with at our last consult which helped choose size as well as profile.

I had the choice of 390 or 420 and went for 420 as my PS said I would loose a little volume due to having unders. Very glad I did.

I had 340 & 375 (due to asymmetry) partial unders. They're still in strapping at the mo, but when I tried them on at consultation, they looked quite big. I took a photo too so I wouldn't forget how big they looked. Ok I'm still strapped up at the mo, but I think they look a lot smaller than what they did at consultation. I'm starting to have anxiety dreams about them now as I've just no idea what they're going to look like properly. shape or size etc. The strapping is driving me nuts too. My SP said my frame was too small to go any bigger than what I had, so had to trust his judgement, but looking at them now, I'm sure they could've gone bigger... I'll just have to wait & see!

They're def smaller in your body!! For me anyway. I remember trying the 420's on and thinking "what the hell?!" but wanted them massive anyway and went with them, but now they're in I'm now like "where the hell?!"
I am happy I chose the biggest size I could though or I personally would have been really disappointed x

thank you for you relpys girls

I didnt really discuss my stretch marks concerns, but i did mention i suffered from them , i suppose i would prefer to go smaller to reduce the the fear of getting to many. certainly going to ask for both so i have the option of changing my mind & give it further thought up until the day !
