400cc mentor silicone high profile partial unders
Hello Ladies,
I am 10 weeks post op (surgery was Dec 17, 2011) I had Mentor silicone cohesive gel implants, high profile, 400cc's. Prior to surgery I was a 34A, my surgeon and I agreed on a full C or almost D cup. At 10 weeks post op, I just don't know what I think. I am happier than I was prior to my surgery, but not as happy as I thought I would be after spending $6800. I just thought they would be bigger..... and look...different. I was hoping for an almost porn star look, but people cannot even tell I've had them done. People that I've known, for years, including family, don't even realize they were done. They know I was talking about having it done, but for those that don't know that I actually had it done, they can't even tell. Then once I tell them they're like "oh, well they look good, but I couldn't really tell". Not really the results I wanted, I wanted something more pronounced and now I don't know what to do. I mean, they look good in a Victoria Secret bra, they look rather large but bra's are somewhat padded (for push up) and I don't want to have to rely on padding! That's why I spent the $$ in the first place. I just don't know what to think, I'm happier than I was before surgery but not as happy as I thought I would be with my results.....

hey hunni, your avi looks great first of all!! Congratulations, you're healing (even at 10 weeks) and there's always a period of time when you feel they're too small, we all go through it!!
I have to ask, what did you tell the doctor, exactly? Because to me they look about a nice D cup (I'm sure they measure bigger). Definitely wait until they drop and fluff totally because you may find they feel and look bigger at that time!!!
good luck and if you're truly unhappy, maybe go back and talk to your PS and ask him why he used that size and maybe he'll have a reason that will make you feel a bit better about the decision!

I agree that your avatar looks good kricket.
I wonder if you wanted the full D look rather than the measurement?
I discovered in my research that the look I liked and thought was a DD actually measured alot bigger. I was adamant that I only wanted DD/E boobs but now have FFs and am so glad I didn't go any smaller.
Interestingly no-one at work and some of my friends haven't noticed but then I can still just about fit them in my old work shirts and did things like bought a new trouser work suit etc so people have been complimenting me on my continued weightloss (they know I go to the gym alot) so they think my @rse has got smaller rather than my boobs getting bigger.
That said I am still in sports bras (roll on next weekend and wires!) so maybe they will be more noticeable in normal bras.
I agree with sparky about trying something on that used to cover you up completely - I tried a dress on last night that I used to be able to wear and sult at lack of cleavage - it would now be bordering on indecent to wear in public lol!

Thank you ladies! I have noticed that in my cami tops when I wear them there is a lot more hanging out than what they're used to be. I have also noticed that when I wear a bra with them I'm way out there compared to the amount of skin I used to show in them.
I told the doctor I wanted to be a full C almost D cup and that I wanted them to look borderline pornstar. I didn't want them to be so huge that people would look at me and be like "OMG" but I did want them to be big enough that I would fill out tops and dresses nicely. I took in some pictures of what I wanted them to look like, Zuska Light is one of the pictures I gave him, the rest were all pictures of actual breast implant "after" shots with people of comparable body size and before bra size that I had. I figured by giving him pictures of people that started out close to where I was and liking their results that I could get a similar look. Now he did recomend that I get a "small" lift and I did not, because I went to three surgeons for consult, one said I did, one said I could go either way, and one said I didn't need a lift, so I was all over the place.
I'm just second guessing myself now, should I have gone larger? Should I have done saline instead? Should I have done moderate plus profile instead of high profile? All of these thoughts are running through my head but I guess I will just wait a little longer and see....

with mod + you would have been wider and flatter so you would have looked smaller than you do now, so you can forget about that worry. If you wanted a porn star look you would have to go bigger in cc. Whether you had 400cc saline or silicone they would look the same as they do now. anything under 800cc wont look stupid big

Kricketkticket, maybe others have got used to your new appearance quickly? Also, some folks are embarassed to say anything about surgery and saying that they would never have known is a kind of compliment in their eyes?
Anyway it's your opinion which counts (obviously) and I agree with the other girls that the pre-op clothes and bras don't lie! Perhaps you've normalised (is that a real word?) your new assets and miss the sense of wonder which you had when you first unveiled? Or were you disappointed from the get-go?
IMHO you look great!

Natty29 - OMG your's look completely fabulous! I am jealous :)
misf1- my plastic surgeon and others that I counsulted with said not to go bigger than 420cc because of longevity and probability of sagging or other problems. I thought this was curious as a LOT of women go bigger than 420.
Sue- In the begining when I first had them done I was ready to cry because they looked so odd. They were VERY VERY high and VERY rectangular, my husband referred to me as "the hulk" and I kept having to explain to family and friends why they looked the way they did. I think a lot of people are under the impression that you have the surgery and then its an instant gratification and the process is done, they don't realize how long it can take for them to look the way they're supposed to look. I didn't even know it would take weeks or months until I started searching the internet about the way they first looked, I was petrified. Then i found this site and a lot of other girls had the same issues so my worry was eased.
Can I ask a question for you UK ladies? A lot of you have overs, I was wondering if that happens often in the UK? Here in the states they almost always put them under the muscle, I was just wondering why things are done differently as the ladies who have overs seem to have much bigger looking breasts (even at the same cc) then those with unders.....is it because with the unders the muscle is compressing the implant?
Thanks!
