Micropour/surgical tape..how much longer?! Empty Micropour/surgical tape..how much longer?!

Hi girls!
Was wondering how long do you have to wear tape over the incisions for?
I saw my surgeon on day 5, where he removed my dressings and replaced with the mircopour tape.
He told me to wear the tape and change it after every shower, which I do daily!
Its been nearly two weeks since and although i've had no allergic reaction to the tape it has in the last few days started to rip my skin a bit when I take it off :(
The scars are looking great and healing well but now I have slightly grazed area on each boob...
Therefore I havent worn the tape today to let the skin breathe a bit!
Anyone else had this problem?! Not sure what to do for the best!

I had my tape on from the op till my check up at 3 weeks !! I wasnt allowed a shower until then !!xx

Nothing from 3 weeks!,and dont go back to see him again till may!!! i was expecting a 6 week check!! The nurse gave me a tube of E45 to put on the scars !xxx

Oh right! I think i'll be ok without as my scars do appear to be closed up now, I have a 6 week check in about 3 weeks.... I've emailed my surgeons receptionist so just got to wait on a reply but a friend of mine who went else where to me said she didnt have to wear the tape at all so I thought i'd get other womens advice too! Thanks hun that helps a lot :-) x
