Does anyone know if it's really necessary? I've taken my acrylics off but can't find nail varnish remover for my toes!

Do they check?

im not sure but think its because your nails are a good indicator of blood flow/pressure, if ur nails go grey they will kno there is an issue.xx

If your oxygen levels are low the first indication is your nails go blue so they know to give you more oxygen.

having no make up on means they can see your natural complexion i.e if you're becoming flushed (running a fever) or pale. If your nails turn blue its called peripheral cyanosis means lack of oxygen, if your nails are painted then they can't see that, they also check your capilliary refill by pressing on the fingernail and seeing how long it takes to refill should be less than 3 seconds, longer than that and there is a blood flow issue.
