Getting measured
Whats the earliest that you girls went to get measured?!
I know im only 13 days but im very impaient and would just like a little clue in what i am as i have no ideas in sizing!
Im currently in a 34d but im normally a 32 and its lose round the bottom when i put it on but tight when i put it on properly as i think my boobies are squished in it?

Re: Getting measured
I got measured at 4 weeks. But if you feel your sports bras aren't fitting you can get fitted into one. Also if you are wearing a 34d when you go down a band size you need to go up a cup size. If the 32 is loose you may need to go down to a 30 band and maybe an e or f cup.
Re: Getting measured
I was going to go to debenhams on saturday just to see what size sports bra i should be in but i was too scared incase they said they wouldnt do it for me yet because id had a ba?!
I was never measured before as i didnt really see the point i just used to wear a 32b but always had it on the last hook, but after reading abit on here iv heard you should start on the first hook? is this right?
Thanks for your help misf1

Re: Getting measured
You should wear it on the loosest hook I think that's the first one. So that as the bra stretches through wear and tear you can tighten the band. The reason the band needs to fit snug is this is where most of the support comes from. Wearing the correct size will make you more comfortable. I would go get fitted for a sports bra but do go get fitted again at 6 weeks for underwire as they can vary and your boobs may change over the next few weeks
Re: Getting measured
Hun I am just over 4 weeks and I got measured at Debenhams on Saturday. I felt a bit embarrassed as I've never been measured before and I'm wearing a blooming support bra, I just said "I've had an operation, I need to wear this for a few more weeks but can you advise me on what size I am". I'm sure she had a little giggle to her mate (although I'm probably just paranoid) but I just reminded myself that I'm never going to see her again EVER and I don't care. I was very happy with my 32E size :-)

Re: Getting measured
I'd never had a measurement done before either. I was nervous and got really edgy just before I went it.
I've bought a couple of bras just to wear if I'm going out as I got a bit tearful on Saturday when I was so restricted as to what I could wear becuase of my sports and support bras and we were going out Sat night! I bought 2 bras but I'm still wearing the support bra etc unless I'm needing to dress up for a few hours. No it didn't feel weird (I've had implants for years lol) but I was a little achy the next day!

Re: Getting measured
The ladies who do the fitting in Debenhams are all really well trained hun so there really isn't any need to be embarrassed. You won't need to take yr bra off as they will measure you then bring some bra's in for u to try in private. They can then give u advice on how to gauge which bra's fit the best. I've always found them to be really helpful x

Re: Getting measured
They will be very proffesional hun, dont worry I'm sure they have seen some sights in their life. You dont have to get naked and they will leave the changing room while you try on the bras and just come back in to check the fit on you. Kind of like being in a bikini on the beach (or that's what I kept telling myself as I was scared the first time too).
