erm how long after your op did you have a couple of glasses of wine. I am one week today and have been off the pain meds for three days. I have a lovely bottle of wine in the fridge and really fancy a glass tonight, do you think i will be okay for a couple of small glasses?

I was told not to drink a week before and a week after op - so you should be fine as long as you have finished your antibiotics! (some antibiotics become less effective with alcohol or at least this is what I have always thought - any nurses out there to clarify?)
