Fellow wine lovers...
erm how long after your op did you have a couple of glasses of wine. I am one week today and have been off the pain meds for three days. I have a lovely bottle of wine in the fridge and really fancy a glass tonight, do you think i will be okay for a couple of small glasses?

I am sure you will be fine. I have had a few glasses. I think it went to my head quicker though. Time to go to bed I think. I was not given any antibiotics to take home which is a bit worrying reading the

Re: Fellow wine lovers...
I was told not to drink a week before and a week after op - so you should be fine as long as you have finished your antibiotics! (some antibiotics become less effective with alcohol or at least this is what I have always thought - any nurses out there to clarify?)
