Bra sizes
I noticed alot of ladies seem to have dropped a band size after their BA. Is this just because they were wearing the wrong size before?
Will I still be ok to wear a 34 back for comfort as I always measured a 32 but don't like wearing anything tight as it feels restrictive or do they need to be a bit tighter now they need more support? xx

Re: Bra sizes
If you feel the 32 band is uncomfortable and tight, then the 34 will be fine sweetie. xx
Re: Bra sizes
I guess its upto you but i was told that to get the best support you should wear the band size you measure & at 1st they feel really tight as they are brand new but after wearing them a few times then the band gives so it becomes more comfey.
When i 1st got measured after having my op i was stunned at how tight the bands felt around me & really didnt like it as it felt like it was cutting me in half but it was simply as it was a new bra & it had to give a bit, & they normally fit them to the longest hook so when they do give in the wash you can move it to the next smaller hook & so on till you have no hooks left to make it smaller ....then it bra shopping again!
if you just wore it for a week or two Im sure you would get used to it once its warn in .x

Re: Bra sizes
I was wearing a 34 (the wrong size) wearing a 32 was not uncomfotable though, so I'd stick with the 34 if you feel it is supportive, you may find in some shops the 32 will be comfy and in other too tight. Just try them on and see how they feel.
Re: Bra sizes
Thanks Cookie thats good to know I just didn't want to be not giving them enough support from the band especially with having overs I didn't want t be giving gravity a helping hand. I've always worn a 34 previously but apart from when I was pregnant there wasn't that much to support.
I did feel supported in my 34d maternity bras but thinking back after a few months they did give a bit so I see your point with the 32 Crystal thanks, maybe the bit of extra weight would make the band give a bit and make it more comfortable.
Thanks misfI I've just had a thought I will be buying different brands now (no more extra padding for me lol) so that may make a difference I'll just go somewhere that fits you to a bra rather than be measured and see how I feel after that.
Will try not to go too mad on the purchasing early days yet lol
xx

Re: Bra sizes
i used to wear a 32B even though i actually measured a 30C because a 32 was more comfortable, although i used to do it up tight, and I think it was actually a bit loose.
When youve got big boobs though its important to wear the correct size band, even if it feels a bit tight, because all the support should come from the band, not the straps
