BA and cant excersise, GOING MAD!!!
Ive just had my second BA over a week ago. Im usually a very active person. I do boxing and cycling and im finding it TORTUROUS not being able to keep active!!! How did anyone else cope with not being able to excersise, how long was it after your BA before you could resume activity again??

Hi hun,you could try doing a few squats or maybe exercise bike to begin with, maybe only youve had your check up though! Also you could try a slendertone ab belt if you have acess to one.But Nats right, try walking a short distance each day and gradually building up distance and speed x

Good luck on your return to exercise. I take it it's ok to resume intense workouts at some point? I know a girl who had a ba one year ago that advised me to go easy in all respects, even outwith the gym. I'm a bit of a gym bunny lol so would really miss exercise too. That's partly why I'm choosing a C cup as still want to train freely ;-)

I used reclining bike and stepper after about 3 weeks. It seems like forever when you're post op but its worth the wait.

I starting walking the day after my op - only a short distance to begin with, but I built it up each day. By two weeks PO, I was doing uphill walking on the treadmill. A really good low impact workout.
I was playing badminton again at 5 weeks PO, and running at around 6.5 weeks PO.

I walked and walked and walked... and walked... and it was fine. I kept active, which kept me cheerful and I didn't put any weight on at all. I actually lost a small amount.

Re: BA and cant excersise, GOING MAD!!!
I went back to the gym late compared to everyone else I think , I love the gym too but just wasn't comfortable going back for quite a long time tbh, I went back to the gym only about a month ago and have only been walking on the treadmill! I have increased my incline and I have been recently powerwalking so that's good
I didn't weigh myself or anything but my clothes all fit the same so I'm assuming I never put any weight on or not much anyway.
I still can't use any weights (I haven't tried) and don't think I will attempt to for at least the next few months.
So just powerwalking for me then x x

Re: BA and cant excersise, GOING MAD!!!
I booked for first BA in 2 weeks and I keep stressing about this and complaining to DH that I am going to stack on the weight over the 6 weeks my PS had told me not to exercise. I dont want to pry Cleo but how does a girl go boxing with implants? Do you have any higher risks?
I am gong overs because it seemed like the right choice and surgeon for me but I actaully dont work out with weights so that wasn't the consideration. Does something like boxing determine whether you have to go with under or overs?
Scientist reckon that when you visualise yourself exercising that all the actual same muscle groups fire off as they woudl if you actually exercising so I am thinking I might give this a go after my BA ... sought like isometrics i suppose?

Re: BA and cant excersise, GOING MAD!!!
Well i am definitely getting restless and putting on weight as I used to walk to and from work every day! 2 weeks post op now I would love to go out walking but it is SO hot outside this week I think I would melt! I'm gonna go on my Wii fit instead!
Gerry I love the idea of triggering muscles just by thinking about exercising! Maybe I'll do that!
