confused about fluffing
Hi ladies,
I am a tad confused about fluffing and the idea of getting bigger once this happens! Surely when the swelling goes down, the boobies will get smaller? I am thinking mine are only this bit bigger as I am still swollen (12 days post op) I'm a 36 D at the mo, before this I was 34B.. I cant wait for them to be a 34D :) xxx

Re: confused about fluffing
did you have overs or unders hun?
you are right that you are obv swollen atm..but with unders and sometimes overs you can fluff.
its when the implant relaxes in to its pocket.
ie with unders the muscle is holding onto the implant tight, as its traumaitised, then when it finally relaxes the imlant 'drops; into its pocket and you get bigger that way.
so instead of the implant sitting very high, (which is when your swollen) itdrops and fluffs out. sorry not too good at explaining!
some women fluff at 6 weeks, 6 months, even up to a year xx

Re: confused about fluffing
Hey ladies... take a look at this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
In the first pic you'll see that the boobs are high and tight with a lot of upper pole fullness and can often appear flat or odd shaped, this happens due to the swelling, forcing the implant upwards and the tightness of the skin stretched over the implant holds the implants back, if you had unders the muscle will also be holding the implant tightly back too. If you were to be measured at this point in your recovery, you would fill a smaller bra size as all of your breast won't fit into the cup as you won't have much lower pole at this stage.
Over time you'll start to notice your implants starting to drop as the swelling subsides and the skin starts to relax, gravity takes place and the gel in the implant is allowed to settle, moving downward. As this happens, you'll get more projection and lower pole fullness which fills out the breast enabling you to fill the cups in your new bras which will most likely then be bigger.
Hope that helps. xx
