A little help please ladies...
Hello all
I had my BA on the 3rd of June and I've read that a few members here are having a 7day check up to remove dressings etc...
Well my first check up is on the 17th (14 days after!!!) is this normal??? and should I leave the bandages on until then?
Any help much appreciated

Hi Miss T
my surgeon made me wait 2 weeks untill i saw him to have my dressings removed, so i think it's just what some of them do!!! x

Re: A little help please ladies...
You're fine missT, quite a few surgeons don't see their patients till 2 weeks post-op babe and as for the showering, it was about a month before I was able to shower! LOL I felt like a right minger!!! But you get by with shallow baths and washing your hair over the sink, so don't worry, all is fine sweetness, don't touch your dressings until you've been seen, you could possibly disturb your wounds, so best leave that to your nurse/surgeon to do hun. xx

Re: A little help please ladies...
I was the same, had my first post BA check up at 13 days, The dressings I had on stayed on for the whole 13days. I had my stitches removed and new bandages put on, which I could remove the following day.
Re: A little help please ladies...
I was 7 days and they removed all he bandages. They then put on some clean steri strips and I am due to go back in 6 weeks. I have changed the steri strips after 5 days and now im just putting my own little plasters on. My scars look tiny, like paper cuts and I had no bruises whatsoever! xxx

I'm due to back to clinic on the 15th so more or less the same hun been having shallow baths and my dressings came a little loose so i use some plaster tape just to hold them down suppose every clinic is different. xx

Re: A little help please ladies...
Thank you all for the response!
Feeling alot more calmer about it now!
I think i'll leave all the bandages on for now...I have been sponge bathing as I'm so paranoid about betting dressing wet and mums been helping with washing hair in the sink so thank god I feel fresh at least.
On day 6 now, going back to work on the 14th (11 days post op) hopefully I should be all good to drive by then and manage a full week at work...
Hope everyone is well
