Re: emma4
Just a thought Emma after reading James' response to you babe.
You know you shouldn't have to wait to see a surgeon if you need to see one hun. If your surgeon isn't here and you want to be seen you should be given the option to see another surgeon.
'IF' you have a trapped nerve and as James said, a nurse isn't really the best person to suggest this then that should be seen by a 'surgeon' to decide on the necessary course of treatment if it's felt to be needed, it's not really fair to expect you to wait a whole two weeks in pain if something could be done to ease the pain for you now hunni.
I think I'd be inclined to call and request you be seen by an actual surgeon. xx

No problem Emma.
From the HMG after-care policy -
You haven't been advised based on your surgeons instruction as your surgeon isn't here to give that advice Emma, so tell them that in his absence, you'd like a surgeon to diagnose the problem and you would then be happy to work on any advice given by the nurse based on a surgeons instructions as stated in your after-care policy. xx

We offer all our consultations and aftercare in your local clinic with an experienced Cosmetic Surgery Nurse acting under the instructions of your operating Plastic Surgeon.

Re: emma4
hiya emma no probs , was just wondering how you were because i couldn't see a post. I agree they should let you see someone else. Bit of a pain going backwards and forwards for you but worth it if you could get it sorted. Mine is still a little while 23rd may so 5 weeks on sunday. I do think after everything I have read, concerning the pips implants ( even though they have now stopped using them) Also the care policy doesn't seem 100% (takes a while to get through to my patient consultant nurse; anyway I kind of wish I shopped around a bit now, but too late as its all paid for.

Re: emma4
My year, I'm sure you would have a cooling off period after paying for your surgery, so if you're having second thoughts, you could always check that out hun.
In regards to your after-care policy, I noted they make no mention of cover for ruptured implants, thinking on that now, it kind of made sence for them not offer cover considering they were using implants that had such a high rupture rate! But I'd actually want cover for ruptures confirmed and put in writing babe as all I cann see that you get for your cover is 2 years after-care and 6 year cover for CC. Make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing hunni 'before' proceeding with your surgery. xxx
