hi, does anyone know if having an over-active thyroid could hold up my BA? this is my second month on meds and my op is on 21st april so hopefully it will be quite stable by then, my GP never commented on it, but know the aneasthetists are a bit careful with thyroid probs, diabetes and asthma.. i'm prob just worrying over nothing, got my pre-op on the 15th april so i guess i will know more then....

Hiya hun, did you tell your surgeon about your over-active thyroid at your consult? I guess at the pre op they will ask for medical conditions but it would be awful to wait til then to be told you cant have your op or something so maybe tell them sooner? x

did'nt know my thyroid was up when i went for my consult, my GP knew i was having my BA but did'nt know the date when my blood results came thru, it was'nt untill i read a post on sofem about someone who had their op postponed because they found her thyroid over, think they only postponed a month tho, will phone them and let them know i think....i just keep worrying about it now as i've waited so long and dont want anything to ruin it.
thanks marie x x x

Yeh i think its a good idea to tell them sooner hun that way you wont be worrying about it and something can be done about it before your op hopefully, let us know what they say x
