Sending messages Empty Sending messages

Ive probably put this in the wrong forum !!!
But does anyone know ...... Ive replied to a few messages and then clicked send ...... only to find the messages are sat in my outbox !!!! Why are they here and not in my sent box??? Dont want people thinking I havent bothered to reply or thank them for help they have given !!!! But dont know what to do to get move on !!!! xx

Outbox means the person hasnt opened it yet, once they do it goes into sent box
