Foods to eat pre op
Hey ladies. Just thinking if there are any special foods to eat to help boost immune system and help the healing process in time for my op. I've read a few posts on plaitelets and i was wondering if there is anything you can eat to avoid the result of a low or problematic blood result. I'm gonna kick alcohol a month before, (not that i am a drinking monster or anything like that), and avoid garlic the week before as it is supposed to thin the blood.
Any ideas?? Jaybles x

Ooooh, I've never heard about the garlic either, good tip!
Don't worry yourself about it though, the majority of people have no problems at all! I've had low platelets for years and already knew about it, it's not exactly common.
General healthy eating with lots of fruit, veg and plenty of water sounds like a good idea xx

Hey, I've just seen a link to a website under 'Breast Augmentation Info>The day of your surgery and beyond'. It's a web page which tells you what to eat to prepare your body for surgery xx

It's probably helpful if you try and do the right things before your op, but i personally wouldn't stress too much about it as long as you are sensible. Advice seems to be dependent on where you go tbh - my ps said carry on as usual and if i wanted to go for a slap up italian the day before then go for it lol xx
