Turn around time?
Hi girls
I was just wondering what everyones turn around time was if you didn't have any complications for day surgery? I'm due at the clinic at 7.30 to be admitted so hopefully surgery will be straight up. From going into surgery to leaving, how many hours was it? I've got nothing to gauge by as I had to stay in 2 nights due to complications.
I've only got 2 more sleeps to go......

I was in at 7:30 too, op at 8, out my 9:30 and in my room by 9:45. Got to go home at 3:30, could have gone earlier but surgeon was running late. He came to see me and check my boobs before I left.
Re: Turn around time?
I arrived at the hospital at 7.30am, had my op at about 9am, left the hospital by 2pm... stopped in at Tescos on the way home to buy some dinner!

I had to be in for 12.00, had my op at 2pm, back in my room for about 5pm (surgeon said my op would 2 and half hours) and I was allowed home about 11am next morning.

I was a day case hun, I think I would have been bored if I'd stayed overnight as I was wide awake when they took me back to my room.JoanneR85 wrote:So you all were day cases then?
Re: Turn around time?
I was a day case too. I felt fine after my op, I even went to BK after to get some dinner. You should take about an hour after checking in to run through everything with your surgeon and see the anaesthetist, then about an hour for surgery, then about two to three hours to recover.
They'll only discharge you if you're ready to go home though lovely.
