Hot water bottle on my back as sleeping propped up played hell with my lower back muscles
Re: Must have items!
I took Arnica but I don't think it made any difference. The main thing I needed for recovery was peace and quiet ... I climbed into my big bed when I got back from hospital and hardly moved for 3 days. Just slept and slept and slept !

Ice packs!
These helped me all through the discomfort of the swelling, especially first thing in the morning when my boobs felt like they were under my chin!! and I again found relief using them when the itching skin kicked in as the nerves knitted back together.

OMG with the week i've had, the list is totally endless
But, if I had to pick one thing it would be the support of my OH him doing absolutley anything and everything to get me through the last week, I am a very very lucky girl!
Oooooo and I have to say my V-pillow, which has been an absolute godsend!
Sorry that's 2 things....x x

Re: Must have items!
I'm gonna say my hubby as well, cos I couldn't have managed without him, he took some time off work to be with me for the first few days and then did just about everything round the house. I couldn't have got through those first couple of weeks without him.

I agree with Hattie260 loads of water, plus its the fastest way to get the GA out of your system.

Mine was definately the V pillow for when I couldn't sleep on my side, it helped keep me comfy.
