1 Implant being replaced
Hi Girls, it's been a while since i've been on here, hope ur all well!! I've finally had my app to arrange my re-op due to bottoming out & one boob being a cups size smaller, I've now been told that because im within my 3yr "Guarantee" that my corrections will be done in May (pockets being sewn to my ribs to stop implants sliding), but because I have apparently better tissue on my right side (nice boob lol) & not so good tissue on my left side (small boob) I am being offerer a larger implant to make the size more even. I have 340s just now & my surgeon is suggesting a 520/510 for my smaller boob if i remember rightly, He however has said i might have to pay for the implant? He is planning on doing the op altogether to save me any other costs, do any of you know how much its likely to cost for a single implant? Transform were really lovely tho, they took more pics of me & said tthey would send it to the board to see if i can get away with paying, fingers crossed!! P.s what r ur thoughts/experiences on having one larger implant & one smaller? x

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Hi kesall. Welcome back!
So sorry to read everything you've been through and the further surgery you need to correct it.
I personally don't think anybody should have to pay for revision surgery to correct a complication caused directly by your BA, not even the implant and I'm sorry hunni, I have no idea what cost a single implant would be, but from experience with Transform, I would say don't let them push you into the charges for your re-op, do fight it all the way hun.
I too had to have a re-op and ended up after much upset and many dealings with Transform having to pay a further £3,000, the surgery costs and urgeon were free but I had to pay for the rest (surgeon provided the implants himself for me free of charge) and still feel I should never have to pay that. The best I got was a reduction in price (they initially wanted £4,000) so even if they do come back with a price, keep at it hunni till you're satisfied. Have to say though that since coming to an agreement with Transform my care has been second to none, I can't fault it.
Good luck hun and please keep us all updated. xxx

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Ooo, also meant to add that there are lots of ladies who have different sized implants to correct Asymmetry, so don't worry hun, they have great results! x
Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Hi Kesall xx great to hear from you xx
Glad that they are progressing things for you hun xx
I have no idea how much 1 implant would cost, sorry can't help on that front xx but I do have two different size implants 230cc and 170cc and the difference is hardly noticeable to the eye now whereas pre op it was quite bad xx I can't tell any difference between the implants either xx
Hope this helps xx

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Hi hun, if you are having the allergan CUI with Transform they really don't cost much about £100 so they shouldn't charge you much, although they may try to. As cookie has already said they shouldn't really be charging you anything as you are within the 3 year period. Glad it's all being sorted for you, and keep at them. May isn't too far away now. Good luck hun.

Hi, thanks so much for all ur replies! I was starting to have visions of seriously wonky boobs! I was so happy immediate post op, had the killer cleavage (swollen lol) but I was very very naive about it all pre-op! Had very saggy boobs & horrendous scars from an NHS job yrs back so all in all, after Transform i had full boobs but they immediately started sliding due to my "Mr elastic" skin!! & when measured 1 cup size smaller with 1 boob! So when i go out anywhere i have to stick in a false fillet to even them up! Not what i expected! I was told after well what do you prefer? what u had before or now!! Obviously now as im rid of the "NHS" bumpy scars, but i do feel a bit miffed because i paid 7 Grand up front & expected the job to be covered! They knew my skin was stretchy pre-op & chose to go ahead & take my money so hearing the before & after quote does wind me up a bit! Rant rant hehe x

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Hi hun, thanks for the update, they should pay for the implant as it needs to be changed to fix a complication so make sure you fight for that. I hope it goes well this time x

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Just remember you don't have to accept that kind of treatment hun. keep everything regarding your care and treatment documented, I don't know if you've been told about Transforms complaints procedure but if you're not happy hun, you can always go down this route, but they need your complaint in writing, so best to have something you can refer back to. xx

Hi Hun
Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience and hopefully it is going to be sorted. What type of uplift did you have?
Lots of love

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
After paying so much for something they promised to do for you, you should not have to now pay extra for a correction they need to do because they never got it right in the first place!! And then they go and treat you like you're the problem!! Argh these people annoy me!
I know how you feel regarding the silence etc when in their office, it's like you're afraid to say anything because of fear of being left like it, i was like that with my first surgeon, put all the blame on myself for his mistakes when in reality it was him who messed up.
I hope things get sorted for you without too much further stress, sending you a big hug x x

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Hi, thanks so much, yip u defo hit the nail on the head, I dont want to make a fuss & have him making me feel even more awkward, but the financial part does really annoy me, Its not a lot of money to them but it took me a long long time to save that! Im not prepared to shell out anymore as I only had the op last May so im in a 3yr Guarantee? They also tried the "I believe u lost a substancial amount of weight, n i was like yes but that was BEFORE my 1st app with you & before you agreed on the surgery & before you took my money! Not like i've lost it post op grr grr rant rant lol x

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
hmmm it does sound like they are looking for an escape plan! Very Naughty! It's such a shame because you pay so much, have huge faith they can give you what they say pre-op is 'no problem' blah blah they promise it all and then the minute it is not right, try and twist it so the problem is with you and then attempt to squeeze even more cash out of you! it's so unfair and wrong.
I can understand you needing to rant, perhaps try and be a little more assertive with them, tell them that although you do prefer what you have now, you did not pay 7 grand to have to stick a chicken fillet in to even them up, that is THEIR mistake not yours, the cheeky fekkers!! x x

I felt totally worn down when dealing with my aftercare for my re-op hun, it really is so terribly stressful, but in order to get through this, you will have to find your voice hun to get what you paid for initially, I really do know how difficult it is and it saddens me so much each time I read women like ourselves who have to fight for the boobs we wanted.
And to tell you that they're now better than what you had is no way to treat a patient with concerns!!!... Yes, they may well be better, but they aren't what you asked for or paid for! Keep at them hun!.
Re: 1 Implant being replaced
good to hear from you, and glad they are doing re op, good luck hun, try and fight as feel the others are right .

Re: 1 Implant being replaced
Hi hun
Sorry you are having problems, i had my original ba with transform and one ruptured quite quickly, they tried to say i must have done something, i said i hadnt, they asked had i been in a crash erm I think i would have remembered.
After much hastle they agreed to replace the implants. Wrong advice anyway as i needed an uplift but wasnt told that only told after when i complained that well they where very saggy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know some people use transform and are very happy but my experience with them was awful.
I have just had a smaller implant and uplift done but have bottomed out, i am having a reop 1st April and the low profiles are wrong for me so he is putting in HP free of charge.
They knew what you wanted and the circumstances before they operated on you so if there is a mistake in the size of implant they should put it right free of charge. I know what you mean about it being hard when you are in the room though, cos i was the same hubby took over
Good luck hun
