did anyone get stuck!!
this is happend to me lots of times now. i decided to leave my mums on sunday, as she was looking after me, but i couldnt rest as my daughter is staying there too, so on sunday i come home, i laid on my sette and got stuck, i could not get back up,it hurt soo much!! if anyone could have seen me, it woulda looked really hilarious, but i was crying and getting cross, in the end i just yanked myself up, hurt my boobie, and then i felt sick, it keeps happening aswell. is it just me?? xx

Re: did anyone get stuck!!
Awww no hun, it's not just you. Not being able to lever yourself up with your arms is a nightmare!
I remember coming home and stupidly wearing satin PJs, I kept slipping down the bed and couldn't for the life of me get myself back up, it was so comical but I ended up in tears and as soon I managed to kind of roll onto my side and wriggle to the edge of the bed to get myself up, first thing I did was chuck those PJs! LOL. xx

OMG I did exactly the same thing lol. I put satin pj's on and satin bed sheets, I could slide out of bed easy then lol
I tell you what though after a few days of not being able to get up properly and having to use my stomach muscles for the 1st time in a while lol, my belly looked quite good (once the bloating had gone).

STUCK YEH!!!
I am shaking with laughter and mad memories here....SORRY misspink23!!
I recall vividly crawling...bumming....shuffling.....elbowing
Do you recall my walking stick?? Anyway, I undertook my journey on my own...thankfully....a very enjoyable and happy adventure I may add. But, trying to get up from lying..well why does no one warn you. I have a very large bed luckily so I tried all ways.... rolling, shuffling, head down, elbows, knees, bumming What happened to my taut tummy muscles!!!! ??? I just ending up in hysterics laughing at myself...which as you know makes it worse...crying is the same, well any movement when you focus on it really.
I eventually found a walking stick in a cupboard (belonged to a friend) on my daily walks around the house and was ecstatic I found a way to have support to hoist myself up....bedside cabinet too low....brolly too fragile, stepstool too high.....I will always be gratefull for my mad find. It was great for many things getting out the bath, switching lights on and off and reaching things out the wardrobe, high cupboards etc.
Soo you are not alone !!
Should I really have shared my madness!!! I would do it all again...just for the laughter!!
Happy Days Eh!!! xx

Re: did anyone get stuck!!
OMG it's been happening to me too!! Seriously I have become a pro at the bum shifting technique!!! I think I should get an award I am THAT good at it now
Once I sit down it takes me ages to get up, especially in the mornings getting out of bed, I have to bum shift forward and then manevere slowly to the left using my heels before bum shifting forward to the edge of the bed and then finally pulling myself up, all the time clutching my boobies! Phew such hard work I tell ya!!
I remember the first 2 days I couldn't even pull up my PJ bottoms after going to the bathroom and needed help!
It is getting better now gradually thank goodness, think your right MP, patience is key! x x

Yes I have to agree hun, we can laugh about it now but it has made me cry a few times when I first got stuck a few days ago! OMG me too we have one of those dual flushes thingies and it's pretty stiff so I couldn't even press the button to flush the loo the first 3 days had to get help for that too, bless my mother!
I still find it hard to lock doors and have to close them with my bum LOL, also couldn't open the car door today, guess it's all just going to take time.
