Who did you tell you were going to have a BA? Empty Who did you tell you were going to have a BA?

Post by joyfulone 7th February 2010, 7:53 pm

I have only told my close family and a few friends. They know to keep quiet and its not up for discussion with anyone else.

I didnt want everyone knowing, and I dont know, feeling like they were gossiping about you and in some cases judging you for having it done. Does anyone understand or am I just being a nut?

How did you feel about telling people?

Hi

I haven't had mine yet but have told my parents and a few close friends and also my managers at work - just incase I need extra time off for complications ... (hope not but I guess you never know !)

I feel quite comfortable about the fact that I am getting it done and if anyone at work or otherwise has the nuts to ask me outright if I have had them done then I won't lie about it but at the same time I am not going to advertise the fact.

Everyone is different as the people around you are also different in their opinions, so I guess the best thiing to do is just go with what feels right.

I was saying to my friend at work that I was wondering how many people would actually ask and how many would just whisper about it, I'm not really too worried - but that's just me ! Who did you tell you were going to have a BA? 543132

Hi!
i totally understand how you feel!
i only told a small number of ppl, i told girls i work with and 2 of my friends and told them not to tell anyone, and i ofcourse told my hubby, and i told my sister but not my mum... she would just go nuts...
i didnt want to tell all the people i know as i feel like you that they might gossip and judge, this in fact happened to a friend of mine i work with, she told everyone and when she came back to work after, no-one would look her in the eye and only stare at her boobs and gossip behind her back about it, noone came up to her to ask how she was or anything, as if she had palgue and not a boob job... i dont want that and thats why i only told select few...
but then agan i dont really care what everyone is thinking about it they dont really know me...

so i totally understand!
hope you are healing well and enjoying you new additions!! Who did you tell you were going to have a BA? 828394

I told everyone I know lol I was so excited plus I had a dramatic change and knew I'd be showing them off in lower cut tops and that people would notice. I didn't want people talking about me wondering if I had them done, so thought if I told them there would be less, has she hasn't she gossip.

hi joyfulone,
i told my sisters, i hav 4, my mum in law and sis in law and hubby . i told my mum the night before the op cause i knew she d go mad, so basically she knew after i had it done otherwise she would of tried to change my mind.
i still have a dilemma because no one at the school knows, purely because i don t want gossiping, judging etc. however as i am there every day i ve got 3 kids, people are wondering where i am. luckily there is a bad bug going around so thats a good excuse.
i think i will have to tell one or two friends though because they could help me !! school pick up s ! also i wanted to wait till it was all over cause i could nt handle telling people. now its done it does nt seem so bad and i probably will tell more people once i m out of the woods. i just did nt want anyone saying "ooh she s a bad mum for putting herself at risk" and "ooh how can she afford that " i think real friends will just turn around and say" well done good for you !" just got to hope that one boob goes down !!

Personally I won't be telling people (the job I do requires a lot of discretion anyway) although I did tell someone at work about pinning my ears back and she spent the rest of the conversation trying to convince me not to...

I told my mum, she laughed, and I told my friend (she tried to talk me out of it) then I told my ex (fully supportive)

I think it is very dependant on the person, your environment and who you have around you. To me its not anyone's business really

HI hun ,

I only told my best friend, my parents & my brother! I felt the water with some other people & got some 'off' comments like why do you need boobs when your already pretty , thats just being selfish & greedy! And my hubbys mums boyfriend said he hated 'fake' boobs & that a girl at his work got them & she did it for 'attention!'
So me and the hubby thought best just to keep it to the people i felt diserved to know. Not only that but there are two women that go to my kids school & people are alway slagging them off for getting there boobs done so i didnt fancy that really!

Dont get me wrong i would never deny i had them done & im not at all ashamed its more for my hubby really as he dont want hus wife being branded as a the ine with the fake boobs, he is very protective of me! where as i couldnt give a dame what people say!

I went from aa to 30 G so its very clear that i have had them done & i have caught people like my sister in law looking at them but she would never give me the pleasure of asking me if i had a ba because she used to take the mick out off my flat chest all the time!

I'm with you on that joyfulone!

I've not had a BA yet but have only told my mum and my two sisters about my intention to have the op so far. I can't imagine telling my dad and I don't think he'd even notice anyway (?). I'll probably tell my two closest friends but that's about it.

I want to look natural so it's not so obvious, would rather people talk about me for the right reasons not to gossip!
