I am sure its norml but....
just needed a bit a reassurance really, had my ba on Mon and my boobs are so sore cant bare anything touching them, and even the slightest knock makes me feel sick (having two toddlers trying to climb all over me is not helping) also have such bad, stabbing, pins and needles, shooting pains in both it takes my breath away (sure I have read its nearves and everything healing). Also just one more moan (sorry) I just feel really emotional, and want to cry all the time, really happy with my boobs, but in quite a bit of pain/discomfort. Because of my low blood pressure cant take the normal meds, have the children who I cant do much with and my little girl who is just over 2 is not sleeping, wanting me to pick her up and going balastic when i dont.. makes me feel like a terrible mother!! I know its not for long but dont see much improvement pain wise one day to the next.
Sorry for the rant, my husband says just leave her to cry and she will sort herself out - really helpful!! just feeling really really low.

Awww sweetheart, everything you're experiencing is all perfectly normal Once you get over that forst week, you'll find things start to change for the better day by day, just rest up as much as you can, difficult I know with little ones around but do rest as much as you can and listen to your body hun, if it hurts, don't do it! A little cuddle on the bed to reassure your little one rather than lifting her will give just as much comfort babe and NO, you're not a terrible mother at all! You're a mum who needs a little time out just now, that's nothing to feel guilty about sweetie.
Now.... Chin up!.... Boobs out!.... And REST! XX

Aw hun, it is normal and the boobie blues gets to the best of us. So have a cry when you need to and things will start to look better for you soon.
Re: I am sure its norml but....
Hun I'm sorry I can't offer any advice as I haven't had my op yet, but what your experiencing emotionally sounds very normal to me, you have just had your BA a few days ago and that in itself can make anyone very emotional, feelings of relief, happiness, tiredness amongst other things. I agree with cookie, listen to your body, if it hurts too much then don't push yourself, give the little ones a cuddle in bed instead of lifting.
You have nothing to feel bad about hun and you certainly are not a terrible mother, just one who is probably tired and in need of rest, just like anyone after surgery. Just rest up and you will soon be feeling right as rain! x x

aw hun, once this day's over I'm sure you'll feel a bit more normal. The GA is obviously taking its toll too
Try distracting your little one with a game if she's old enough.
Hope you feel better soon xx

Re: I am sure its norml but....
Don't worry Andi99 what you're describing is all perfectly normal
If you read through some of the older posts you will see that the GA has a strange effect on some girls which is why you're feeling so low, when I came round from my GA I couldn't stop crying (no idea why!).
Do you have a relative or friend who can come and help you out for the next week or so? You really need to rest otherwise you could end up with complications or at the least double your recovery time. Thankfully my girls are 5 and 6 yrs old so they both understood that Mummy was "poorly" and they went easy on me for a while!
Perhaps you could talk to your GP about some suitable pain relief for you as you mentioned you can't take regular pain relief.
As you said yourself, your op was on Monday so you are very early days but please remember that as time goes on the number of bad days will decrease and the good ones will increase

Re: I am sure its norml but....
Well we are all here to listen hun, anytime. GA is a funny thing and it effects everyone in different ways. I remember I was put under GA at a dental clinic to have a root canal done, I insisted that I have it as I couldn't even take a filling I had to have (I'm such a wimp and have the lowest pain threshold!), seriously I was screaming and crying so they decided to finish my filing and do my root canal under GA. This was a few years ago mind, I remembering coming round and like LouLou I couldn't stop crying, I was so emotional.
Just get lots of rest and if you feel down just look down at your wonderful new and i'm sure you will be smiling again...happy healing hun x x
