BIO OIL
hi ladies
i have statred using bio oil now (2 weeks before my opp) as to help prepare my skin to be stretched so as to keep it suple and help prevent stretch marks, does anyone know if or how long i should use it after my surgery.
also i wasnt sure if i should be using it night and day now being so close to my opp date?
also, with regards to arnica, when did you start taking it? ive been told i can take it a week before my surgery, how much should i take, will 1 tablet a day be enough?
thanks
kerry

Re: BIO OIL
Hi Hun
I didnt take Arnica tablets and I didnt get any bruising. My nurse said she wasnt sure they worked and there was no necessity to take them. I'm sure other girls who took them will be along soon to let you know about dosage.
I used bio oil 2 weeks before my op, day and night. I also use it day and night now, but obviously you cant put anything on your scars for 6 weeks afterwards so just be careful not to put any on them.

Re: BIO OIL
I started using bio oil 2 weeks before my op and am still using it twice a day now. I didn't put it on the day of my op and then started with it again when my dressings came off after 10days.
I only recently started putting it on my scars though, it was just on the boob prior to that. No new strech marks for me.
I also took arnica a few days before my op and a couple of days after, then I kind of forgot after that. I took it 4 times a day which is what I think the instructions said.

Re: BIO OIL
.x. i started taking arnica 2 weeks before and took two tablets a day. how many you take depends on the strength of them i think as they come in different dosages.
I didnt use bio oil before hand only my normal moisturiser but afterwards i started using it on boobies about a week after but avoiding scars, then started using on scars once the nurse at the check up gave me the ok .x.

OMG I didn't think of Bio Oil 'before'... frig, I'm gonna have to bathe in the stuff!!!
I was told up to 1 week before (Arnica). First day you take 2 pillules every 2 hours for the first 6 doses and then 2 pillules, 4 times a day!

I didn't think of pre-op bio oil either! Thought about using it after but not before ... I've learned so much since joining this forum!

Re: BIO OIL
My PS said to use it until my scars went white, but I stopped at about 4 weeks, kept forgetting, then just couldn't be bothered. Bit different for me thought as I had an uplift, so my skin didn't need to stretch.

Re: BIO OIL
Ya know... I gotta BARGAIN in Asda today.
I picked this bottle up assuming it was Bio Oil, but it wasn't.. it was a brit make - did a comparison of the ingredients and they are ALL the same. So I got 120ml (instead of Bio Oil's 60ml) for £5.87 and ya know... can't tell the difference!
Quickly ran to loo before started work and rubbed some in (didn't quite feel appropriate as I was in the loo 'at work' lol).
After my grub, gonna pop in and rub more and again tonight after my bath lol.
xo

Re: BIO OIL
My dad is off the same week lol... Sounds crazy I know, but I'm a tad of a daddy's girl lol and he's been with me for all my consults' etc.
You know... I'm currently wearing a 34c - but believe me I'm not filling it, actually it's rather echoey in there haha. My friends who have had a BA are all like "JESUS Etta you will be huge" when I mentioned 350cc...
... But since that convo the sixe has increased to 380cc possibly 435cc (if they arrive).
As you'll be aware now with all the advice on here, you can't predict what size an implant will make ya... I guess I'd be happy with a DD, but I think I may end up an E/F. If so 'hey ho' gotta be done lol. Have wanted this for a while now.
Where abous is Highgate?? I'm going to Stirling up here in Scotland for my BA :) xo

Re: BIO OIL
Hey Kerry...
Holy mary mother of jayzus chroist I'm SO excited now
Just having a 'Monica' hour or two, tidying up and organising things. Packing my wee bag and then having a lovely long soak in bath as it'll be the last one for 10 days :(
I got word from my coordinator and looks like the 435's are at the hospital
I will surely keep you posted and be in touch as soon as I can.
Thanks for the 'blether' on here, yer a wee gem.
Hugs
