Implants, still not happy!
Hey girlies!!
I really can't stop going on about implants I apologise in advance! My op is next Sunday so really worrying about things but especially implants. I'm really having second thoughts on having CUI implants....I need some reassurances, I'm thinking of calling my PS and getting the inspira softtouch implants, however they will cost me £1200 more! don't know what to do, still not 100% happy, xxxxx

Re: Implants, still not happy!
Exactly, lots of girls have CUIs with no problems so will soon be posting saying they are good etc, you need to decide for you hun. I think asking for £1200 more is a little overpriced, have you tried haggling?helenascania wrote:You have to do what you think is right and make you happy x

Re: Implants, still not happy!
Hey lovely,
Like helena said, you need to be 100% happy with your choice, and although we can help, the decision needs to be your own.
I have CUI implants and I was fine with them, I'd done all the research I needed and they were exactly what I wanted, down to projection and base width. But if you feel you need the security of having Inspira implants then you should have them, money shouldn't really be a factor.
Saying that, over £1000 is excessive, but you know what's best for you.

Re: Implants, still not happy!
thanks girls! I haggled the price down before from 5200 to 4700 and they wouldnt haggle any lower. I know it is a lot of money that's why I'm in two minds it's just seriously worried about ruptures and the gel migrating to the lymph nodes, I've found a few women on the other board who have commented on having this and having their lymph nodes removed and this has really made me worry because lymph nodes are very important....ahh it's probably last minute nerves but wanted to find out what you girls think, but of course it is my decision at the end of the day xxxxxx

Re: Implants, still not happy!
Awww sweetheart, I do hope it's not me that has frightened you like this
I do keep trying to emphasise what a rarity it is for these things to happen, on the whole CUIs are safe! I wouldn't have had CUIs put back into my body if I weren't sure of that...
Nothing and I mean nothing, comes with an absolute guarantee hunni, as Nads said in your other thread, a rough surgeon could damage an implant when placing it causing a rupture, and that could happen with ANY type of implant...
You have to be comfortable with YOUR decision hun... I know how easy it is to focus on something you read right before your op and get yourself in a state over it, I did this over the symmastia and gave myself a panic attack!!!!...
My thoughts - You'll be fine with CUIs... but the final decision MUST be yours hun, if you're not happy, then sod the money, what price is peace of mind!
Go with what you'll feel happy with after your op sweetness. xxx

Re: Implants, still not happy!
Youve deffo got to do what feels right for you chick. If you think it will continue to be a big worry once you have the implants in then it may well be worth paying the extra for piece of mind.
Im a worrier and have CUIs but feel comfortable in the choice I made if that helps.

Re: Implants, still not happy!
no hunny ive never had a single problem with any of my implants, no rupture or silicone migrate.
the only complication i ever had was with my second b/a and one implant was placed too far over to the left and i needed pocket revision. in the end i decided to change from unders to overs and go a bit bigger and everything is fine now.

Re: Implants, still not happy!
You do need to be happy with your decision and only you can make it. I had CUIs and although i'm only nearly 5 weeks PO, I have been ok. As others said, there are risks with any type of implant and any surgical procedure anyway. Hope your ok, try and enjoy your build up to your boobie day! xx

Re: Implants, still not happy!
I am new to this boobie talk and I am not sure waht CUI implants are.
But I agree, you need to do what you are happy and comfortable with.
With any procedure there are always risks regardless.
Tell your PS your worries, they are the ones working on you and they should be able to give you as much info to help make your mind up so you go into this knowing you have made the right decision.
Dont be afraid of "harassing" them, its what your paying for!!
Good luck sweetie.xxxx

Re: Implants, still not happy!
Hey hunny,
I had the CUI's, totally happy with them and how sturdy they are and touch wood no problems so far - I went for a consult with the Harley Medical Group and compared to the PIP's they are really much better quality. I knew as soon as I held a PIP in my hand that I wasn't sure about having it in my body, hence why I didn't go with HMG. It's reall just as the other girls have said - about what you're comfortable with.
Good luck with your surgery hun! xx

Hi hun, I know you have been worrying about this for a while. I think for your peace of mind spending the extra is worth it. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with CUI implants as I have them and am very happy. But you need to feel happy and money really shouldn't matter when it comes to how you feel about the op and implants. Good luck hun. Hope they get back to you soon.

Hi Georgie!!
Dont feel you are moaning at all!! We all get feelings that we cant shift and normally there is good reason, sharing them helps. I agree that you have to be 100% confident in your choice as it is a big decision. I also believe the price quoted is very high compared to what others have paid. I would do what the P.C. has suggested, as it is not unusual from what I have heard the price does seem high for them as they deal with the company. Also, have they taken off the price of the cui's? Hopefully you wil hear back soon and with good news, stay positive and confident I am sure they want your money, have you had any other quotes to compare? Perhaps a good idea so you can quote them. Thinking of you xx

Re: Implants, still not happy!
Hi hun i think there is no 100percent gaurrenty that any type of implant will be safe from rupture & thats just how it is. It just the more money you pay the less likely it is meant to happen. You could pay the extra money & find yours rupture one day. Its just a 'risk' with all implants. cui have a very low rupture rate and are not ment to migrate but cookies did, its just one of those things. im sure if you hunt around enough you could find ladys that have had the inspira implant that have ruptured............nothing in life is 100 percent.
If you feel better getting the inspirer implants & you can afford it then you should go ahead & have them. If i had the extra £1000 then i to would have had them but money held me back.
Hope this helps!

Re: Implants, still not happy!
hey guys!!
Thanks so much for all your comments, I have definitely taken them on board. I've been thinking through this a lot and I have to go wiv my gut and what will make me happier. It's annoying having a change of heart at the last min tho cause kind of throws you off course! lol I know implants will have to be changed I'm not naive to the fact that they WILL have to be changed once or few times during my lifetime I have researched for a very long time because wanted to know everything there is involved as it is a life changing thing. Misf1 knows how much I've been umm and arring about implants lol so this isn't a spontanous change of mind, I can afford to pay the extra and would regret it in the future if I didn't take the opportunity now. However I completely 100% agree that the implant price is crazy so I will fight my hardest as I know now this is what I want now. Thank you again girls!! has been a rollercoaster this journey and you have all been a great help
