Does the camera lie....

Just thought Id set up a bit of a debate about the ''camera''. Well I have jus brought a new phone so to test the camera on it, as you do, I thought Id take a few piccies of mi wee boobies.

Now I swear infact im 99% sure what I see on the cam is not what I see in the flesh or what others see. On camera at certain angles they look like two big balls. Like you can see the entire rim of the implant like VB. Now i know in ''real life'' they do not ''look'' like that even when I push them up the top of the implant still doesnt look particularly round. I think partly due to the fact I didnt have a whopping implant and had some thick flesh to cover the implant well. People even say to me without feeling them ''you'd never know they were fake''.

I guess the whole point of this is to hear you thoughts and for the newbies who are thinking christ do my boobs reallllyyyy look like that. I think the camera must magnify the slightest of imperfections by like 1000%.

They do say the camera adds 10lbs - maybe it all went on your boobies ;).

Seriously though - its probably the flash creating a shadow and making them look more round than they do in normal light. x

I've been having the same argument with myself this morning, resulting in me deleting the photos I took. I look at the mirror and smile take a photo and the nipples are pointing sideways!!!!! It's like a cruel joke. Thank goodness I'm not the only one.

Haha I know. One of my nips has always been slightly of center but noting major jus one of those natural things, it was b4 my op. The camera make is look like it literally points EAST, To the naked eye its def not that obvious .

Yep,I would say for me the camera DEFINATELY does lie-cause in photo's my boobs look fake and uneven ......while in the flesh they have a lovely natural slope and look a perfect shape and size for me!

I think my boobs look awful in photo's, but in real life loads better. Where I had the uplift, on a pictures you can see a dip at the bottom of one boob, but I can't see that in the flesh.. Is it there, isn't it??? I just don't know

When I look in the mirror mine are rounded along the bottom and a natural shape.... when I take a picture they look very round like 2 balls, but flat on the bottom !

Anyone who's got a man there, could you ask if yours look like the ones in the mirror or the ones in the pic please!! Just so that I know

I agree the camera makes me look horribly ugly, when in fact I am dazzlingly beautiful

Yep i agree, that's why every time someone requested to view my pics I felt I had to message them first and justify that they looked better in real life cos I didn't want to put anyone off getting that implant. x

Yep the camera does lie in fact I've stopped taking pics of mine cos it depresses me as mine look really uneven but look good in real life xx

Hahaha this makes me laugh. We cant ALL be deluded.....I would ask my fella to have a little lookey unfortunatly I dont have one. On the other hand im sure as most blokes are besotted with boobs we'd prob get a very biased opinion!!!!

I so agree with this thread I thought it was just me!
Mine look dreadful in pics totally round and stuck on but they dont look like that really.... its so wierd.
I always feel like I should justify them when people see my pics and pray I dont put them off getting theirs done!
The only other person to have seen them is my fella who is a dirty perv and just says theyre 'glorious' so Im none the wiser!

Yep i shall now know to believe what I see in the mirror and not freak out when I see pictures!

This is very interesting as one of the reasons I am getting mine done is that when I was thinking about it I wanted to get an objective view on how wonky they really are so I took some pics and was horrified at how bad they looked although my boyf says they really aren't that different in real life. I have also thought that some of the pics I have seen do look quite fake and sticky outy but the girls all seem delighted.

I think this is the best thread I have read to date!!! still getting em done though!! ha!

Glad this has helped. I cannot put into words how hidious my pics looked this morn, if i had put them on here it certainly wouldnt have done boob jobs any favours. I still cant get my head round the fact the camera makes them looook soooooo different but it really does. Think its just something to always be aware of so people dont get disheartened. xx

SG.. did your surgeon take follow up pics? mine did and he emailed them to me, I haven't put those ones up on the site as I haven't asked his permission (copywrite laws and all that )... but his pics he took are far better than the ones I took, mind you my pics are better the ones my oh took of me when I was relaxed with both arms at my side..... when I take them I am tense and they don't look so even......... so camera can/does lie hun xxxxxxx

.x. the camera definitely does lie, mine can look more round and sometimes wonky in photos but not in the flesh. Also if you're taking the photo yourself its awkward and your arms have to be at strange angles which can make then look wierd, better to have someone else to take them so you can be relaxed and not twisting your arms/upper body at or stretched out to get the right shot xxxxxxxx

Have you girlies been using a tripod when taking pics?? Remember, if you're talking a self portrait, one of yer boobies is gonna be slightly raised due to holding the camera.

Will still keep this in mind haha.

Just hoping my scales weren't lying to me earlier... Lost 5lbs in a week, think its due to being so anxious; that and running my erse off on the treadmill lol.

Well my PS asked if I wanted to see a b4 and after photos and before I could say ''your alright, think Ill pass'' they were on the screen. Didn't take a proper look though so im not sure hahah

LIke you I didn't want to see them at the time, I said I would like to see them afterwards when he took the follow up shots, so last week he emailed me my pics.......... and I can't tell you how happy I am at spending £2,250 per boobie!!!!!!!!!!!! its great to see them!! maybe ask him to send them to you! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

well all i know is the camera does make things look worse but being pre-op i would say its not lying in my case lol. xx

Agreed, great thread! I posted a topic as I was shocked at my pre and post op pics and have to say they look completely different in pics than in the flesh. May try the tripod option soon!! I have been reassured that the small differences between your boobs can be exaggerated in photos as the flash adds shadows and although you may think you're facing the camera head on, standing a little bit on an angle can be enough to make them look different! x
