Thats a relief she doesn't need further surgery. Fingers crossed everything heals now. I hope she managed to get a decent rest in hospital and wasn't to upset.

Re: Update from ShootingStar
Thanks Nads for keeping the girls upto date & thanks girls for all your wonderful wishes of good luck and the texts i got sending me love, here's an update for you all before i go to bed on strict orders, my surgeon just rang to check i was in bed and i answered the phone and he said 'Why are you not in bed?' .(oops)
I went to see the surgeon as planned for him to remove the tubes from the adjustable implants and as he pulled the one from the swollen one it began to pour with lots of blood, old blood & clots so he said i had suffered another haematoma and the blood had been seeping beside the tube but by releasing the tube the blood was able to escape (he described it like unplugging) we literally felt the swelling draining before our eyes as the blood poured but it was being a bugger and kept on pulsating and bleeding and the questions then were had it started back up and was it an artery bleed or a tissue bleed..
The difference
An Artery bleed would not stop without surgery and would continue to pump regardless of space, something due to the mercury level in the blood etc (i am going to be a pro at this!!)
A tissue bleed, much like a graze to the skin, would bleed until the pocket it had was full and then stop, not needing surgery.
So it was touch and go waiting because further surgery meant risk of losing implant and all the good work be undone.
My surgeon looked at me and said "this must be da ja vue for you" but i assured him last time was horrific and terrifying and this time i trusted him completely so I was not scared, just sad it happened again to me. I was so brave i impressed myself (big head hehe)
I have prayed to all things worth praying to all night for it not to beat me this time and it paid off this morning because you guessed it, it has stopped so a tissue not artery bleed it must be, it can still start up again as the blood absorbs or seeps out but it will stop once and for all in time.
I now have other risks of other complications again, mainly infection so i am on double dose of anti biotics for that
I also have surgical bra & a tubi-grip bandage which is soooo tight on my chest!! It is essential to help prevent further bleeding so am not allowed to move it until next Friday!
I am gutted it goes without saying but i am still smiling, i can still breathe (just about :teehee: ) and i am in good hands, i am determined to hold onto this boob like you wouldn't believe and i have hope.
On a good note....
He got me a mirror for me and held it over so i could see the work he had done to the disfigured one and i cried tears of joy, I couldn't stop thanking him, the disfigurement is gone and i have a natural breast line again, i instantly LOVED it and all my fears of not bonding and feeling like they were odd just disappeared, i think i was expecting to see a freaky breast line etc the other day but it was perfect, the swelling had gone down at the time from the blood draining and they were almost a perfect match too!! I am so happy with what he has done for me
Sending you girls all my love and i hope you are all well & good luck Cookie I am thinking of you hunni x x x x

What a lovely surgeon. He sounds brilliant. I'm so glad things are looking up hun. And he sounds like he's done a great job on your boobies. No moving, lots of rest. Take care.
