urgeing people to stop smoking before op
hi girls just a quick post to say any girls with a ba coming up really should stop smoking cos i didnt and i fear im going to be left with a disformed nipple as my skin around part of my nipple hasnt fused and left a hole, which i think could be down to smoking
i only booked my ba last minuite due to juggling schedule so i booked my ba two days before and i stopped smoking bearing in mind i only usually smoke about 5 a day max, as i go out the back for a a fag anyway. after op i though it wont harm to have 1 or 2 so i did and also i was stressed out cos i wasnt happy with the size of breasts at the time, which made me even more carefree about smoking as i was unhappy with my boobs so i thought stuff it(stupid and childish i kinow) bearing in mind i never smoked more tha n 3 aday.
whan i went to have my stiches out as i said theres a bit that hasnt fused which i think is prob due to smoking. my surgeon is going to sew me back up next fri which means arranging babysitters finding 150 pound to travel up there which is miles away (BIRMINGHAM AND I LIVE IN SWANSEA) and putting up with an open bleeding hole for two weeks until i was able to get appointment with surgeon and worry on the final look of my nipple, so i dont want to preach and i know its hard but plllleeeaaassseee give up before and after op, they say to stop smoking for a reason, it affrects healing time and i think im living proff
so the question your all thinking, have i stopped smoking? and the answer is yes from the day i realised my skin hadnt fused back together, which was over a week ago, and it hasnt been that difficult, just kicking myself for not doing it earlier and i will not be going back smoking either deffinetly not, no way

hey good for you honey. don't be too hard on yourself thinking you caused this tho. Yes there is a possibility that it could be due to smoking but there's nothing you can do about it now and you're getting it fixed so that's all that matters.
Great advice to others tho. xx
