Re: need some reassurance!
OMG GP and Alfie, your pics are sooo cute together.
Well I had a full uplift with implants and am still in some discomfort 3½ months on, plus one of my nips is dead to the world (hoping feeling will come back) , but I wouldn't go back to my pre op boobs in a million years. Gone are the days that I look at a pretty top or even better a triangle bikini top and think 'can't wear that'. It has given me the oomph I needed to lose some weight and generally care more about my appearance. Everybody's different so it depends on how important it is to YOU at the end of the day.

Re: need some reassurance!
Ok I can totally see why you're worried but the majority of ba's go without any hitches at all. Not sure who you're going with Alfie but Transform have great aftercare so should (god forbid) something go wrong it will get fixed.
Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones. I had my reop 10 weeks after my original ba. Yes it was inconvenient but no-one as to blame, there was no point dwelling on it and driving myself mad so I just accepted the situation and got on with it.
The chances are you will sail through your surgery. Having second thoughts is natural but I wouldn't let other peoples experiences necessarily put you off as everyone is different and will react differently.

Re: need some reassurance!
Hi hun, I haven't had any problems at all. I'm sure you will be fine. We all get worried just befor the op, it's only normal. It is worth it.
Re: need some reassurance!
It does seem really daunting, I'm in the same position. I just think if you really want it you've got to go for it. As long as your having it done with a reputable clinic then i'm sure you'll be absolutely fine.

Re: need some reassurance!
Thanks from me too.
I accept I'm gonna have discomfort, it's just other complications I worry about....but there are so many positive stories out there that I suppose I shouldn't think about the bad things.
I'm having mine done with Mr Liew at Mybreast. I've seen his work and I feel confident in his hands.
xx

Re: need some reassurance!
It's totally natural to have doubts just before your op. I know I did! So far I haven't had any probs (fingers crossed) and loved my boobie day. Only a handful of girls on the forum have had problems compared to the number of members there are on here, and out of those that have had complications, most still don't regret their decision to have a BA xx

I'm one of the girlies who is going to have to have a re-op due to a rupture, 3 years after having my implants, I've been through quite a bit before I've got to the stage of surgery but I don't hesitate at all in saying YES!... My augmentated breasts are worth every single thing I am going through... If I could turn back time, I'd still do it all again!!!!!... Infact in a months time I AM doing it all again!!!! LOL
Re: need some reassurance!
thanks again! ur right jessica i have to put it in perspective with the amount of girls on this board. and cookie, I'm really sorry to hear about your rupture but it really has helped me to know even though you have been through this your still just as enthusiastic! gd luck wiv your reop hun!

Re: need some reassurance!
Hi, this is a great topic cos I am very nervous and it is scary reading the bad stuff. I am expecting pain and them not looking great to start with but am so worried about complications further down the line. Am really worried cos I'm going with a company that nobody else seems to have experience of on here - BMI healthcare. But have seen the surgeon's photos and he looks and sounds like he knows what he's talking about. I know that whatever surgeon I choose there's a chance that my body and implants won't mix and that's the risk you have to take. Thanks for all the reassurance tho, it helps a lot

I am confused with the two cats also.....who is who
Turn into Tigers and rid yourself of the fears!!!!!
Pre-op nerves I think!! Guess I would have been the same if I had a long wait...I just decided after many many years, and research to 'just do it'. Organised and booked and had it done within ten days.
I had travel in different forms too, done the whole journey and healing on my own with no problems.. however, I did have tiredness, aches and a few smelly days on the negative side.
On the positive side I have boobs, had loads of laughs, no tears, and feel complete, and confident within myself, have lovely underwear and made lots of lovely friends here. Would I do it again....STOP ME!! Best thing I have ever done just for me
Even if I had, or do experience complications my answer would be the same.
Everything in life involves risk, but with this we are aware of the risks involved and they can be fixed, no guarantees that they wont occurr to any of us. I believe it is mindset...if we truly want something, plan and organise in preparation, including your thoughts. I turned my journey into an exciting mystery tour...and it was just great.....finding boobs on your body at the end...wow xxxxxx

lol me too but then I'm easily confused these days!
I'd also say that pain is experienced differently by everyone. Generally as long as you stick with your meds every 4 hours and do as little as possible it is discomfort rather than pain.

Re: need some reassurance!
I am one week post op today and can't believe how quick the week has gone.
I've been suffering with my right incision site (as I'm sure you are aware cause I've been whinging about it non stop ) but other than that it's not been too bad really.
My range of movement is improving every day and the last couple of nights I've actually managed to sleep quite well.
I'm feeling better since getting on to just taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, neither co-codamol or voltarol really agreed with me so I think combined with the after effects of the ga that made me feel really down.
Every day is getting better though, I'm still sore in my right incision site (had to get that in ) but even that is becoming slightly less each day. It'll be interesting on Monday to get the dressings off and see if there's a reason for it or if it's just the way I am healing. Probably tmi for you but I do remember when I had some stitches after giving birth to ds1 that it was rather excrutiating as they tightened as things healed up and the midwife had to snip them for me, so I'm thinking it may just be the way that I heal. No pain in my leftie but it is still more swollen and completely numb where as my rightie isn't.
So.. would I go back a week and change anything......definately not! It's early days for me and I've got months of changes ahead of me before I get to the finished result but even now I've got boobs where there were none and I wouldn't change that!
I do also totally trust my ps, I do feel that if I suffer complications he will do his best to help resolve them and I can't ask for more than that.
Good luck girlies, you will have no regrets, x
