Re: Im ok!!!!!
hey, i'm 4 weeks post op now, i've started to sleep on my side. mine feel ok and i'm sure it doesn't harm them =)
i can't imagine it being harmful to take off the bra for a few minutes. when i get a shower i make it a longer process than usually just to get them dry properly and let them "breathe" a bit, but i soon start to feel like i need to put the bra back on.
i was told to wear mine for 12 weeks, sleep in it for 4 weeks. but i'm still going to sleep in it an extra 2 weeks now i've finally found a good enough support bra.
xx

Re: Im ok!!!!!
Hi Sta!!
Soo pleased you are feeling and sounding happier today and the pain has lessened
You should be fine to sleep on your side now, probably will feel strange as you say, thoughquite normal. I would just avoid sleeping on your front for a while yet.
I would also think it is o.k.to air your boobs for short periods throughout the day too. Probably best when you are sitting, resting if you get the chance of that with children
Every p.s. is different in advice with time to wear sportsbras, I would follow his advice. I was advised to wear mine for 12weeks also.
Hope that helps a little, and you continue to feel better by the day xx

Re: Im ok!!!!!
Hi,
I was told I could sleep on my side from my 10 day check up onwards and had no problems!
I was also told that I could give my boobs a half an hour a day break from the sports bra. I would normally change into a little cami top for a little bit of support.
I think each surgeon has a different opinion on how long you should wear your sports bra for. I was told 6 weeks but some are longer. I would check with the surgeon as the PC could be wrong.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better
Marie

Re: Im ok!!!!!
brill news Sta...
I woke up on my side at about day ten and at two weeks started sleeping on side sort of propped up..
I have been advised to keep sb on for bout 3 months but wear normal bras when I go out, and to wear it overnight.. which I quite like wearing it overnight, just gives them more support and keeps them where I want em to end up!!!!!!xxx

Re: Im ok!!!!!
YAY! you sound so much happier!
Not sure about SB advise- I am planning on wearing mine for as long as possible and will probably wear it longer than 6 weks if I wear it work as I wont want to be showing my boobs off there!
