Pre Op...???

Hi girls
Another question if anyone could help me please?
Is it standard procedure for all of us about to go under to have a pre-op assessment? I have my 2nd consult with the surgeon i have booked with SH... but I haven't been told about whether that's it until I arrive on the day or what?!
Also, could one of you lovelies tell me roughly when the visits/check ups with your surgeon occur? How long after the surgery itself etc... do you have to go back to them to have the strapping removed etc or is that something you do yourself?

Last minite panic eh!!
Every surgeon /company differs. Depends what you have had done already and what your next consult is for I guess. One of the 'The Firm' girls will most probably best to help you out here on pre-op assessment.
I went privately with my surgeon and he done everything, also verbally and in writing explained the whole process and timings etc. I was lucky it seems. Completly stress free and organised.
I had my first visit with him one week after, he removed strapping, and nurse removed dressings from incisions before cleaning and then he popped micropore tape on and discussed the op. and how I felt etc. Then 6/7 weeks was next visit with him to check progress etc. Hope that helps a little. xx

I've just had SH (that sounds so wrong
but you know what I mean!).
I didn't have any kind of pre op stuff at all, had my second consult then that was it until the day.
My pc has arranged post op appointments, one at 10 days post op and one at 6 weeks (although I think it's actually 5 weeks she's given me).
I've got strapping on, I have a few pics if you want to see, but I had a nipple lift too so prob more padding than normal. That has to stay on until my 10 day appointment when he'll remove all the dressings.
I've put my story in the stories section if you want a read, if there's anything else I can answer for you while it's all still fresh in my mind let me know.
