OMG 26 daysssss!!
Evening girlies!
OMG I can't believe how quickly my ticker has gone down and now i am in a panic!!
Should I be buying certain things and preparing myself etc? What do I need to do/get? MB have been a bit slack lately, no reply to my email and no receipt for full amount sent out either... must get on to them tomorrow!! I guess I've been so tied up with the promotion @ work that I haven't had a lot of time to think about it and now it's less than a month away!
Still haven't told the guy i'm dating either and I sort of thought i would have by now... eeek
PS - can I just say that the new site looks wicked and loving all the little extras like the new smilies and new calendar! Whoop!! Go BJSF

Re: OMG 26 daysssss!!
Eeek its nerve racking isnt it! As for what you need to be doing now before your op.....I dont know lol! At my pre-op they said I could take Arnica a week pre-op and a week after the op. They also said I could massage bio oil on now and after wards but not going on the scars obviously.
I dont think there is much else apart from sit back and relax! Easier said than done!!!
8 days for me! eeeeekk!xxx

Yep just relax hun, I packed and unpacked my bag made lists of what I needed and still went to town the day before for more sports bras that I didn't need lol. Don't worry.
Re: OMG 26 daysssss!!
Well the good news is a quick phone call to MB/The Firm and my receipt for the full amt paid was faxed and posted and recieved today... and Samantha has confirmed my size, make and shape of implant back to me. She did say it would be an admin nightmare to send a confirmation of implant type out to everyone but I might just ask her to email it so I have got a record of it somewhere... wise idea?!
It's probably just hitting me now having been so busy at work how quickly this op is coming around and how i have yet to buy a single thing in prep for it!
I told a couple of my new work colleagues yday, said to myself I wouldn't say anything until I was asked, or until nearer the time but I couldn't lie when they asked where I was off to on my week's AL from work! Yet to tell my boss, who is a man!
My Mum and Dad go to Cuba tomorrow and when they arrive back I will only have 8 days to go!! I plan to stay at my family's house for the weekend after I have the op and then return home during the week as i'll have my housemate for company.
Would you recommend getting a V-Pillow as opposed to using lots of seperate pillows? I tried sleeping upright for the fun of it last night and I know I am going to fidget and get very frustrated!!!
Thanks for your replies girls. xxx

Re: OMG 26 daysssss!!
I'd definately recommend getting a V pillow. They will help you sleep better as they come over your shoulders and prop you up, which will stop you from trying to roll over onto your side. Plus, it'll cushion your boobs on the way home if you are going by car!
I woule recommend that you get your sports bras in a few different cup sizes and band sizes for swelling, lots of magazines, books and DVDs, get the cupboards stocked up with food and to start moistuising/rubbing bio oil into your boobs!
Good luck!

Re: OMG 26 daysssss!!
A V Pillow is a must buy hun, after your op you will be sleeping up right for 2 weeks, so along with all your other pillows propping you up, the v pillow will give you the extra support you need hun, dont know what I would have done without it.
Also maybe buy some arnica, its not compulsory and maybe worth checking with your PS to see if they are happy with you using it. Basically it can reduce the swelling and brusing post op, I bought 30cc arnica tablets from holland and barratt and started taking them a week prior to my op.
Sports bras, if you havent already got them, you should have been advised at your pre op with your nurse of the size you need to buy. Remember to always accomodate for swelling hun.
Magazines you can buy nearer the time. Dry shampoo was a godsend for me for after my op, not being able to wash my hair was torture. Wipes to take with you to the hospital to freshen yourself up after. Dressing gown and slippers you will def need for hospital for when you walk down to the pre med room in preparation for theatre.
Its alll sooooooooo exciting, I miss the whole experience!!!
