support bra's! feel like i'm going round in circles!
i just cannot seem to find a bra that fits or gives me the right support! i find one and after wearing it for a while it starts to hurt or is to tight or makes my boobs shaped funny. so i've just got a few questions about this to ease my mind. now i know that you girls can't set this in stone for me, i would need to speak to my surgeon for that (he is a pretty hard man to get hold of being overseas). i am mainly looking for your thoughts and experiences.
1) are sports bra's an equally as good a choice as support bra's that are intended for post surgery?
2) can they way the bra is shaped, affect the shape of my boobs? (stupid i know)
3) if a bra is not giving me enough support, could it increase chances of complications such as bottoming out?
i went today to marks and spencers and she measured me and she got my band size right, which is 34, but she said my boobs were a B cup!!? and trying on a few bra's the 34C was not too big but didn't fit perfectly either. so i tried on a 34B sports bra which was too tight, and the only one that fit me right was a 36B sports bra. but i don't like it as the band is to "hard" and i'm worried that it will irritate my scars. but looking at my boobs they look and feel so much bigger than a B cup! so i wen't home on a bit of a downer....
thanks to anyone in advance that can share their experiences xx

Re: support bra's! feel like i'm going round in circles!
agh drofty don't fret, maybe she needed glasses I can't believe you are a B cup!
I tried on about 20 sb's before I bought the ones I have and I have three different types, ok, two of those are M & S ones, high impact Zip front which is a bit of a monster but it tucks my boobs in very nicely and holds them super in place without touching my scars, so I sleep in that one and I wear it if am doing more strenous jobs/work
also got a m&s racerback which I find really comfy but its pull over head, and wear it now and then
plus got a soft support bra (non sports bra), which if I go out in t shirt etc., I wear so its not obvious I have had a ba (as I didn't tell anyone)
I went up a band size from 32 to 34, but for me the size is irrevelant, means nothing and I wear what fits me best..
I think if you don't wear decent sb now it could affect where your boobs settle, I know with mine if I went bra less for more than hafl hour in the first week they felt really heavy.
good luck, try the royce sb & reebok etc., they all do them, find what fits best and get a couple.. xx

thanks girls for your replys..
katie i'm currently wearing the high impact nonwired sports bra, maybe i'll just stick to that one coz i had a look at yours and the band seems to be the same as mine, though it feels quite hard it does give my good support. it just feels almost as hard as a wired bra. and my boobs look a bit pointy

Re: support bra's! feel like i'm going round in circles!
does it have the cross over back? they are quite tight and I found the more I washed mine the softer and more comfy its become, your boobs looked great to me, they will settle and you will notice changes in them most days now, wear what is most comfy and keeps away from your scars drofty.. xx

SHOCK ABSORBER MULTIWAY SPORTS BRAS B972
I think you will deffo be at least a c, i personally have never found a bra in M&S that fits me.
I dont think you can harm your boobs in the wrong bra but you must be comfortable and supported.

Shock absorbers are very comfy, also check out:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for some nice support bras, bit more pricey than M&S/Asda but much better support and quality x

Re: support bra's! feel like i'm going round in circles!
well i went back to asda today and got a 34C support bra, it´s very comfy and gives me very good support. it is even a tad too small for me so i´m going to get a 34D in same style.
i don´t know how is the measuring system at m&s is different than elsewhere but i also got another 36B from asda (same size as i got from m&s) and that is way too small on me.. so i´m not panicking about the size anymore, they look and feel amazing to me and that´s all that matters
thanks to all of you for replying
