Gossips.....
When I went back to work last week no-one batted an eyelash but then one collegue (total gossip) siddled (SP?) up to me and uttered the words
'Can I ask you something , dont be offended? - have you had your breasts done? It just someone said you looked perkier than usual today and this is how rumours start so I thought I would ask'
I burst out laughing and said off the cuff 'No they've always been this fabulous!'
If she had asked outright on behalf of her nosey self (not the 'someone' I'm convinced did not exist) I would have told her but I didnt like her sneakiness. I also answered by saying if a rumour did start I knew where from and to tell the someone they could keep on looking if they wanted to with my blessing.
To be honest I was quite hurt that my boobs were so super obviously crap pre BA even she had noticed. Im annoyed with myself because Im not ashamed but its also up to me who tell and when.
Do you think I was right? My fella said 'stuff her you should tell the world and be proud!'
Today I think its funny because still no-one else has batted an eyelash but I have caught her taking sneaky glances at my chest every now and then and no rumour has started (yet).

I would tell the world... the world excluding work that is! There's too much politics where I work for it to be worth it... dunno if its different where you work

Re: Gossips.....
I know! Fair play to her! She still did my head in though asking on behalf of someone.
My works the same too many power crazed idiots around. I've got to pretend to be very professional and keep my airhead ways quietly to myself but when at home I can be daft as a brush and its totally ok!

Good on you with your "come back" to her!
I doubt I'll have too much to worry about with people noticing in my job... but the school mums... well, a breed all of their own they are!!!! I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it!

Re: Gossips.....
Let me tell you a story...
Last year I went to a 40th party which was fancy dress. I went as Jordan. I wore a tight red snakeskin dress, killer 4" red heels, a long blonde hairpiece, false eyelashes, and a pair of false blow-up boobs which I thought were almost obscene!
Thing is...everything went well...some asked who I was (? ) but most thought I looked great! (My bloke went as Peter Andre complete with dyed spiked hair, white shirt and ripped jeans...)
Half way through the night a girl who works for me came up laughing her back side off...she said her friend (who was a customer of ours...I have a hair salon) had said to her..."Hey..I never realised your boss had such enormous t**s!!" to which she spluttered...they're fake blow up ones you nut!!! She thought it hilarious!
My point is...I don't think people see us as we see ourselves ( I thought everyone must think I had tiny boobies and it showed...but no-one said anything) What is outstanding to us, is often immaterial to others. You are what you are, not what people see.
So this woman must have an insecurity about her own boobs (didn't you notice everyone else's when you had none? I know I did!) and has her beady eye on yours and is wondering how she never noticed them before... or she is just one of those people who mistake "honesty" for "nosiness" and by asking you hopes to demean you into confessing as a way to assuage her own insecurity. Either way I think you handled it BRILL!!!
Say nothing, and if she keeps staring...just keep flashing her a smile... and carry on as you are. If she tries to start gossipping, the fact you are blissfully carrying on as if nothings happened will call her "suspicions" into question.. and I'll bet my last penny (of which I've had lots...) that no-one has noticed.
This time next week it'll be old news anyway...she'll have found something else to bother about..
You did the right thing...its no-ones business but yours anyway, so well done you!!

Re: Gossips.....
Hell yeah! Don't feel that you have to share something that private with people you barely know!
This is quite relevant to me as I'm back at work tomorrow...hope I don't get any comments as I'm rubbish at acting! But I've spent the past few weeks in gel bras and covered up in cardis so hopefully they'll be none the wiser!!
