Re: Xmas Parties!
AAAHHHH, Xmas parties!!! Love 'em!!
I'd recomend something that conceals your sports bra hun - although I'm sure you've already thought of that lol. Are you having overs or unders? If you are having overs they won't look bad under clothes - unders obviously take longer to settle (mine still look wierd to me). But when I had overs they looked ok and recovered pretty quickly painwise. I found I couldn't wear heels for a couple of weeks as I got bad backpain from sleeping upright and standing like a hunchback all the time (for some I couldn't stand straight for a couple of weeks think it's coz of swelling, tightness and scars). I probably wouldn't go drinking 5 days po due to painkillers, antibiotics and ga, but sure you already know that. Maybe have a word with your pc?
How excting for you - their first outing!!
xx

Re: Xmas Parties!
Hi Jade_evie!!
Soo pleased you are enjoying your new job and the team is friendy!!
Must have been quite daunting returning after a break, and baby going to nursery too...well done you xx
Not too sure about you being up to a xmas do...well baths are sometimes out of bounds till dressings off You would be able to wear a nice outfit to cover your sportsbra...however, you would probably feel awkward if dancing and partying and passing drinking people are around you. I would be feeling the same as you...want to join in and return the welcome and friendly invite. Perhaps you could go and leave early if you feel tired.
I had full unders and was not in pain, just discomfort or hunchy more like it!!! I could have gone out...but a trip to hairdresser would have been needed, as couldent lift arms to wash and dry it. Also meds will be making you feel lethargic!!
Hope that helps a little. Keep enjoying your job, and hope babie is settling into nursery well. xx

Re: Xmas Parties!
Glad your new job is going well and they all seem friendly. It would be nice to go to the Christmas do and feel part of things, but you might need to leave early. Perhaps you could use your daughter as an excuse, maybe say the babysitter can't stay late.
As to what to wear - something loose on top, you could still find a lovely outfit which is not too tight or clingy. I had several tops which were front fastening and quite loose, which I used straight after my BA, for the first few days.
Hope you enjoy the party, I think it will be great to have something fun to dress up for a few days after your BA.
Also, book a haircut before the party. I booked the hairdresser for for 2 days after my BA, so that my hair could be washed and it was a nice treat.

Re: Xmas Parties!
Thanks Girls- I think Mr Khan bandages so I will be in bandages rather than a sports bra :(
I think I will just have to go for 1 or 2 and the meal. It's £30 for the non drinkers so it's not too extortionate I suppose!

Re: Xmas Parties!
Just wanted to say congrats and glad your enjoying your new job! I wont be having a christmas party this years because I'm on maternity leave and my office is in birmingham and I live in Liverpool! Doh!
Like the other ladies saifd i'd just wear a dress that conceals your sports bra/bandages and just go for it! Obviously not having too many drinky poos with your anti-biotics xxx

Re: Xmas Parties!
Hi,
You will be covered in tape from your belly button up to your collarbones and then have to wear a sportsbra on top as you are going with Mr Khan.
You will therefore need a high necked top! You've seen my pics and I was covered in tape until my 10 day check up. It was a pain as didn't have that many high necked tops!

When will we be able to feel my boobs and when will they look normal?!!xx

I am going to start searching for something with a high neck. Marie- I have a dress I think would cover it- hang on I'll try and find a pic...
sorry if it's really big and that was my hair blonde last Xmas!
Do you think that would cover the bandages? I love that dress too

Re: Xmas Parties!
Lovely dress hun.
Well, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but my taping was really high, right up to my collarbones and even with a high necked top, with only an inch or two away from my throat, you could still see the tape!
