Re: re-op
Oh hun I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I think this is what happened to Shooting Star so maybe she will be able to offer you some advice.
They may not have an aftercare policy on paper but surely legally they must have some sort of terms and conditions or something? They can't just have nothing. Maybe have a search on the internet?
Thinking of you hun, I can't even imagine how you must feel. xxx

Re: re-op
Hiya hun, the infection has caused your body to reject the implant and try to get it out of the body basically so hopefully after a break it wont happen again x
Re: re-op
Ooops I've just posted on your other thread
Jessica is right they need to have some kind of t&c's at the very least.
I know the situation is still bad, but you must feel relieved that you finally know what's wrong.

OK apparently acording to their website you should've received their t&c's with your quote.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Use the link go to scroll down the page and just before their "more about us" section it'll say "Terms and Conditions" and there is a little "click here" link that takes you to their full t&c's. I would suggest you print it out and have a good read, just so you know where you stand chick.
I hope this helps a little

Re: re-op
Think positive hun, Shooting Star has been thro alot so she I am sure will really help you, its good they have a 'plan' and are going to sort it, I have no experience to advise if you go bigger, and its going to be a difficult time for you whilst you are healing in prep for the re-op but 5 months is not that long really in the big scale of things..
i will keep everything crossed for you things go smooth.. xx

Re: re-op
yea shooting star has been a great help already she knew what the problem was as soon as she see it.
thanks sticky will have a look at that now.
friday is my day if i didnt say so i will be all deflated again. looks like i will have to invest in some chicken fillets. just didnt need all this hassel was hard enough last time with my two kids now iv got to go through it all again. xxx
it was quite funny though today as i took my oh and he said to the surgeon "she came here on thursday and even i good she that it was the implant and im a builder, so why couldnt a nurse pic it up instead of messing her about for 4weeks".
he also managed to swindle a lift back from hospital on sat. so im pleased i took him now. im so nervous though i hated the ga last time. cc

Re: re-op
Oh Serena!!!! i am so so sorry!!! i had my suspicions it was that but am so gutted for you that it is, the trouble is if the infection goes deep to the implant the antibiotics don't reach it hunni and the body expels it (as you saw from the pics i shared with you) i'm guessing as it wasn't right from day one you may have had a little bleed in there after the op (because that boob never did look right did it.) and hence the chronic infection and then the body trying to expel it =(
I'm so glad you got seen today, it's a long road but you will recover and you will get there, it's just so unfortunate that these things happen, especially when you spend so much money and expect nothing but the best it really does dishearten you doesnt it. x x x

i know if your getting through it im so i will but like you say iv paid all this money for nothing thats how i feel at the min. its just added hassel i dont need. i thought cosmetic surgery was meant to make you feel great but its done the complete opposite for me. thanks ever so much for sharing yours to makes me feel better that i aint the only one going through it. how did you manage or managing with no boobs again?? do you have more excess skin than before?? so i shall say it will be after christmas before i have anything again if not longer depends what the surgeon suggests. it just annoys me that i have waited so long for these and now all this happens. was in mush pain when you had them removed??
i have just scrubbed the house from top to bottom now im gonna have a lazy day ready for tomorrow. thanks alot ss xx

Re: re-op
Really sorry to hear about your complication. You are right that you have cosmetic surgery thinking it will make you feel better about your body and you pay so much money that to have this happen is awful!
I'm sure it won't be any more painful this time than before, in fact should be easier as the skin won't be stretched. I'm sure given time, when the surgeon says you have healed, you will be able to have more implants and have bigger boobs.
Thinking of you, hope all goes well.

it's been hard i must admit but i was left with one so have this daily battle to try and match them up with the boob enhancers
do you have more excess skin than before??
at first it is saggy and very empty feeling but it does plump up as the weeks go on
so i shall say it will be after christmas before i have anything again if not longer depends what the surgeon suggests.
it will depend on your healing, if your scar heals up quickly and softens up they operate quicker and of course once the body has rid the infection completely
it just annoys me that i have waited so long for these and now all this happens.
i know how you feel hunni and it's such a let down, you may feel upset after the explant tomorrow and feel like you've lost something and have that gutted feeling in your tummy but it does ease up as the days go on and you will be positive again in time
was in mush pain when you had them removed??
mine was numb and still is, i felt nothing and was glad to get rid of it in the end because how deformed my boob was looking, i don't think you will feel any pain but you will feel empty at first, it's an odd feeling.
i have just scrubbed the house from top to bottom now im gonna have a lazy day ready for tomorrow. thanks alot ss xx
good luck tomorrow and i will be thinking of you x x

Re: re-op
Just wanted to say Im thinking of you. Its an awful thing to happen, as you say we get this done to feel good so to get a complication must be so disheartening but at least you have SS who really understands your situation and all us girlies will all be there for you every step.
