Itching AGAIN, advise ladies
Sorry for a repeat of subject, i mentioned last week that my dressings were itching me like mad and when the nurse removed them she said i had had a reaction under my boobs. Well i have just had steristrip on since Monday and last night it started to itch under my right boob and now its all red where the steristrip is! Im convinced that its just coz its getting warm under the bra but i have a roll of 3D m-something-pore tape upstairs that the nurse gave me after my last BA. Do you think it will be ok to remove the stuff i have on and replace it with that?? Like i said, its just on a roll, its not in a sterile packet or anything???
Thanks loads ladies

I've heard alot of girl are allergic to steri strips and strapping, my boobs were very warm but they never itched where the steris were, have you tried piriton hun?
I would call your pc or surgeon hun because if might make your scar irritated if you leave it xxx

I would say change it if its irritating you.
Like you I also was allergic to the plaster things and now too have noticed the steri strips ever so slightly nothing major jus its redder than my other skin. I change mine everytime they come of so you will be fine to use that other stuff you are on about. Might be worth having a shower and loosening them b4 you take them of so as to prevent pulling the scar and/or any scabs you might have

You should be ok to change them lovely. You're 10 days PO, so the scars should be closed by now

How's the itching now? I hope it's all in the past for you now.
I'm struggling to keep myself from scratching where the sticky stuff is under my dressings. I think it's a combination of where my bra has rubbed on the bottom of them and where I've got quite hot! I've got to wait 'til 10 days before they're coming off though. :pale:
