You have to wait until your 6 week check up and you get the all clear from your nurse/surgeon.

You can't soak the scars

You can have a shallow bath for the first 10 days or so (depending on how long your 1st check up is after your op) then you get the all clear to have showers. But you can't have a proper bath and soak in it or go swimming until 6 weeks post op.

Yeh you can have shallow baths, the reason being that the dirty water (sounds horrible) isnt allwed to touch your scars and soak them. Well thats what my ps said. (hope he wasnt insinuating im dirty tho, lol) Showers are fine tho, xxx

I was able to have baths and showers after 8 days when I had my stitches removed and dressings changed, although I still had some steri strips on over the scars, which I was told to take off a week later xx

Yep, proper ones, obviously try not to get your incisions overly wet but I was told it was fine as the scars had healed over nicely xxx

I had baths once all the strapping had been taken off but I never have really deep baths so I think thats why I was ok to carry on having baths aslong as I wasnt soaking the incisions. xx
