Re: Ladies with overs
I dont know from experience, but some say its slightly easier. I guess coz you're only stretching skin rather than a muscle. Im sure some gals will be along soon to share.

Re: Ladies with overs
I have overs. I felt tight, tender and achy. No real pain just uncomfortable. I had a lot of skin so didn't need to stretch which I think helped in the fact that I was able to do a lot fairly early in. My arm movement was restricted for a couple of weeks but I was driving comfortable at 10 days. I didn't lift heavy objects for about 6 weeks and then the heaviest was my 2 yr. x

Re: Ladies with overs
I'm 8 days post op with overs and no pain, slight tightness but apart from that it's fine. I'm not driving although I prob could just not over doing it. Heavy things and heavy doors I don't do at the mo. Rest is def the key to recovery.

Re: Ladies with overs
First time around it hurt to raise my arms and even walking was a chore but second time it was a breeze. I had subfascial overs tho so the top layer of muscle was peeled away

Re: Ladies with overs
I'm getting overs also so I'm hoping for very little pain as well as I don't cope well with pain:nope: but I'm sure for my new boobies it will all be worth it!
I have a little one so it is going to be hard not picking her up :(

Re: Ladies with overs
Found a way to pick up the little ones, at first I would just kneel on the floor so she could sit on me fir a cuddle, then once a bit of strenght returned I would crouch down, let her climb on and then stand up. Therefore using my legs and back rather than my arms and chest muscles xx

Re: Ladies with overs
I'm more worried about lifting the kettle. Lol. Can't go without my coffee. God I drink copious amounts of black coffee. Looks like hubby is going to be busy. X

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I managed to perfect the art of lifting and pouring the kettle with robot arms on the second day. It probably depends on the height of your surfaces a bit though.

Re: Ladies with overs
I think they are jus at normal height, but to be honest I might just get hubby to run around after me for a few days at least. Make the most of it. x

Totally. I live alone so couldn't exploit it - good plan though!

Oh yes, my hubs was my slave for 48 hours. By day three i I could cope with the kettle, just filled it with one cup of water at a time x

Re: Ladies with overs
I had overs and my recovery was a breeze (without bragging!). I had no pain, no arm restriction whatsoever, and just made sure I didn't lift my kids for a week. I could have gone back to work the day after I got out of hospital in all honesty! I was expecting much worse so I must have been very lucky. I don't usually heal so well!

Re: Ladies with overs
I had overs and didnt know why i fussed so much! Thinks its just the worries of 'what if'!
I think my recovery was better than expected. I had the tightness and 'someone sitting on your chest' for the first few days but you just have to keep on top of tablets and plenty of rest. I havent had unders so would not know the comparison but i can assure you dont worry.. Your come out after thinking what was all the worry about!
P.s - Defo agree with your hubby doing everything for you! Soak it up while you can! xx
