Just an update from my surgery on Thursday
Hi ladies I had my nipple lift, implants and tummy tuck with muscle repair on Thursday evening. Because I was due on and your blood gets thinner I lost quite a bit of blood during the surgery and ended up with 4 drains - 1 in each boob and 1 either side of my tummy. Yesterday i didn't feel much pain and was eating and drinking no problem. I was told last night I couldn't go home as my right breast was draining quite a bit of fluid still. Today I went down hill, throwing up to the point where I couldn't move at all or even sip some water, became dehydrated, couldn't have any strong pain killers due to the anti sickness tablets and injections not working and me not eating anything all day. The doc came and put me back on IV fluids and IV anti sickness. I've drifted in and out of sleep all day. Physio came this afternoon and I walked up and down the hall. I had my 3 drains out about an hour ago and feel so much better! Sitting in the chair as I'm fed up of lying in bed. Hopefully last drain will come out tomorrow and I can go home. Sorry for the long post just wanted to keep you guys updated! Xx

Re: Just an update from my surgery on Thursday
Hi ladies sorry for late reply. They let me out on Sunday night and was so lovely to get home! Only problem was nobody waking me up for meds so have been waking up in pain and the beds no where near as comfy as the hospital one! I also woke up last night with pain inside my chest on the left hand side and down my arm which was completely different to the pain I had been feeling from the implants before as they're overs. Anyone else had this? X

Hi Mrs PB
I had pains under my armpit, if you are worried just give your clinic a ring. Make sure you keep up the meds I was taking mine every 3 hours but it helped. Probably overdosing but I would of taken anything to help with my pain xxxx

Re: Just an update from my surgery on Thursday
Were you setting an alarm at night time? It's just a toss up between having more sleep and waiting for the pain killers to kick back in.
I was a bit worried but really didn't want to call up
About every little thing that's different, obviously it's all different and new so I don't really know what to expect. I have said to my husband if it carries on today then I'll call up. How long did you have armpit pain for? X

Re: Just an update from my surgery on Thursday
Had it for a few weeks. You have not just had a ba you have had major major surgery. It's probably nothing to worry about.
They do pull you about in surgery, so you would get aches and pains. It probably nerves etc. if you are worried then give them a call that's there job and you've paid a lot of money.
With the pain meds I was just waking up. What have you been given? Xx
