Fake tan
Hello lovely ladies,
Now I'm loosing all my colour after my holiday in August I need to get back into faking it! I was a total fake tan junkie for the first half of this year and I'm sure I'll be wanting to spruce up a bit after the BA.
How long do I need to wait before applying fake tan? I wouldn't put it near the scars but could i put some on the rest of my bod ready to go back to work in early Jan?
Not sure if there are any rules?
Sorry if it's a silly question! X

I think it should be ok as long as you avoid the scars. its a good question though as not something I have thought about. xx

Re: Fake tan
Hmm...personally id steer clear for 4-6 weeks while the scar is closing. Reason being is if youre showering, theres going to be trace amounts rub off and down into the scar area, which could encourage infection. Then after, i'd still steer clear of the scars for 12wks.
On the plus, its bally freezing out, so you can wrap up if youre feeling pastey!

Re: Fake tan
I fake tanned after about 3 weeks. I don't see why it couldn't be earlier though. I just kept my scars covered with plasters (I've been using silicone strips) and avoided applying it in the immediate area. I kept the silicone strips on when rinsing it off in the shower (although they've closed nicely so wasn't particularly worried). Looks a bit weird having pale areas under your boobs but they're covered most of the time anyway!

Thankyou ladies!! I'll try and hold off for a few weeks - maybe just do my face upper chest and arms but I'll give it a good few weeks! Xx

Re: Fake tan
Think I will hold off, Like Charlii said its going to a bit chilly anyway. I only really put it on if I am going out and don't really have any plans over January other than recovering. xx

Re: Fake tan
Was thinking same thing. Like charlii said be careful when showering as you don't want to get a bit of fake tan in those scars and cause a infection just because of a bit of a tan. Xxx
