Hi ladies. Recovery going well, other than my left boob. It feels stuck on and heavy today (sorry to sound weird) and it almost tightens when i take a deep breath. Also I've got a vein that has popped up on my areola and its tender to the touch. Its also more swollen than my right and has been since i had my BA. I have no redness at all and my incisions are looking good. 

Does this sound all part of the process? My right has been a dream with no problems whatsoever!

Youve had two separate operations remember, sisters not twins. Theyre going to heal differently. Everything sounds fine for now, maybe youvr over done it a bit to cause it to feel tighter than usual. Paracetamol and rest will sort it out. 

As for the vein, if you can bear to, massage should help it go down, but if not, itll go on its own eventually

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] what you're describing with the vein sounds like it could be superficial thrombophlebitis. I'd touch base with your PS in the morning (sending them a photo might be helpful). We often use an anti-inflammatories or a heparinoid cream to treat (if it does turn out to be superficial thrombophlebitis).
