Showers?
Hi ladies. I'm not cleared for showers until Thursday but it's really getting me down that I can't have one. I'm used to having 2-3 a day so it's a big change to have had none since Thursday. Is the only reason that we can't because of getting the incisions wet? Or is there another reason I'm not thinking of?
If that's it then I'm contemplating cling filming my boobs and getting in for a quick one!

Re: Showers?
It's to keep the incisions dry.
It drove me crazy too! I ended up having lots of shallow baths and/or showering the lower half of my body and sink-washing my armpits/upper body. I know, it's kind of gross.
Do try and keep them dry as getting the incisions wet increases your risk of infections at this point.

Re: Showers?
It is absolutely to keep the incisions dry in this first leg of healing. Even cling-filming your boobs wont keep them 100% dry, and the slightest whiff of moisture can encourage an infection. It could also invalidate your aftercare, and you'd be left with nothing. Stick with shallow baths, squaddie washes in the sink, and baby wipes. You've got this far, only another 3days. If you're feeling super gross, head to your local hairdressers for a wash and blow dry, it really perks you up.

Re: Showers?
I was cleared for showers immediately as I had glue but I was worried on the first couple of days so I tried cling film, It didn't work. Only a couple more days and you good to go. As Charlii suggested pop to local hair dressers and have wash and dry, head massage, it does make you feel refreshed xx
