Nipple reduction...?
Hi ladies,
Do any of you know much about nipple reduction surgery? I never really knew it existed but it's been bought to my attention and now I feel this is something I should look into since I'm having a boob makeover. Is it best to kill all birds with one stone and get it all done together or maybe reassess after the augmentation?
Breastfeeding has left mine looking permanently swollen and I'm worried they will be really 'out there' after surgery. It's fine at the mo as I wear heavily padded bras but if I plan on wearing normal bras after surgery I fear they will be visible under clothes.
Surgery is not for another 7 weeks or so yet so I've got time to discuss with surgeon.
Do u think I should book an appointment to see him as I'm thinking it would be more costly to get further surgery done to correct this after the BA?
Any ideas / experience or info u have would be gratefully received! Xx

Re: Nipple reduction...?
If its in your head, speak to him about it now. You wont be able to have another surgery until about 6-12months post op. Plus having a BA isnt going to correct anything, remember, they will be exactly the same boobs, but bigger. You get a lot of swelling in the nips immediately too, mine were very puffy for at least a month or so.
I'd have a chat now about it. Cost wise, if its done separately thats another days theatre, staff, equipment etc to pay for, so it may work out 'cheaper' to have it all together. You wont know for certain until you've discussed it though.

Re: Nipple reduction...?
I had a nipple reduction when I had my uplift and implants, having the lift gives you scars around the nipples anyway so I thought I might as well it was surgeon that actually suggested it. I'm pleased with the results and glad I did it, the scarring is minimal you really have to look for it.
My nips were very puffy and pale for a few weeks but gradually went back to normal. I would def do while you're having your ba rather than two seperate ops x

Re: Nipple reduction...?
Thanks dling - thats really helpful! I've booked in for an appointment with my PS on the 23rd Nov to discuss with him and hopefully get that booked in too. I've no idea how much extra it will add to my bill but worth it if it means I don't have to tape them down to stop them showing under my clothes all the time!
Was it very painful or not too bad? It sounds awfully painful - basically having part of your nipple removed and its putting me off a bit! x

It wasn't to bad Hun, to be honest they were pretty numb for a few weeks, I had a few shooting pains when they were healing but nothing more than that. I didn't realise how big they were until I had them done, now they're much prettier x

Mine were reduced slightly as well, as he was moving them up a bit anyway. I'm four weeks post op and still numb! So can't say the recovery has been painful in any way. I'm anxious for the feeling to come back, though!
