When can I get measured/wear nice bras!?
Hi all
It's been s while since my last post op update!
Well all seems to be well & softening up nicely!!! :-)
I had op JULY silimed furries low profile round 420cc.
Anyone with similar surgery date had a measurement yet or wearing nice or wired bras??
My boring cotton bras are rubbish for going out in lol
Hope all is well with everyone xx

Hi, it's something that you would need to ask your surgeon incase of invalidating your aftercare. I was allowed at 12 weeks but everyone is different. Always best to check first xx

Hi I know exactly what u mean, getting fed up of only wearing soft cups or sports bras and can't wait till I'm ready for pretty underwires! Seeing my surgeon tomorrow so will ask him then. Be good to hear what your clinic recommends too cos I have same type of implants :-). It's such a waiting game isn't it?!! Xx

Hi... I had my op 5th August... I have been wearing a soft cup from debenhams for a couple of weeks now and just started wearing wires this last week... I still wear my genie bras the most... Wires at weekend / days off !... My ps just said no wires for a month... I feel comfortable in them so I think it must be ok... And so nice to be wearing lovely bras !! Xx

I agree just check to be sure. I was told weeks but the brochure for my type of implant said 12 wk so!?
I generally wear wires daily, although for the last week I have been so busy moving house, I have been in my belvia just for ease and comfort.
But yeh I think the time comes with all of us surgery girls when we just need something a bit more pretty and, oomphy lol
Good luck

I was told 6 weeks, I've got allergan inspira's. To start with I found wires a bit uncomfortable so just wore them for a few hours a day. By about 12 weeks they were fine. I'm now over a year post-op and on days at home usually wear a belvia, sports bra or my trusty macom

It'll be personal to each girl and what their surgeon recommends. My surgeon said 8wks, even though THG clinic guidelines is 12. Best thing to do is ring and ask. But don't think just because you're allowed means you can, i.e they'll look perfect as soon as you put them in any old wired bra. There's still a lot of softening and changing to happen, so don't worry it they look or feel odd at first. It'll still be better than a sports bra!

Bravissimo will fit you into a sports bra. And they sell the Panache, which is amazing!

Re: When can I get measured/wear nice bras!?
I wasnt allowed to wear wires for 3 months according to my paperwork and I stuck to it religiously. It was so hard and frustrating but so glad I did as I went straight into wires with no problems. You hear alot of ladies say they have to ease into wires, but I think by waiting the whole 3 months I was able to really easily go into wired bras.
I know it's hard, but if you need a quick pick me up just go and try a couple on and take some pics :) It did wonders for me! Your time for bra's will come along in no time :) xx
