First consultation today !

Soo I have finally had my first consultation today and I am so excited although a little scared too!

I saw Dr Brent at the Spire clinic. My appointment lasted over an hour, where he talked me through the procedure and answered all my questions. He said the best for me would probably be 330cc moderate gel overs. Although he said I could also have under.
I asked about twilight sedation and he said it wasn't a good idea, he has done it before and didn't like it because the patient moves, and has to be topped up and thats where accidents happen whereas GA, its one dose, no moving and no risks of giving too much with too many top ups.
I showed him what look I wanted and the ones I didn't like. I like a high nipple and very full lower poll. he said that was easily achievable with the band he puts at the top of your chest after the surgery. he said the tighter it is the more it pushes the implant down and the more I will achieve that look.

He seemed very relaxed and sweet. maybe even a bit too relaxed about it all?
Said he could fit me in very soon, like mid october, is that a bad sign?

Finally the bit that scared me ! I tried the implants on. So they were actual implants that I put in this bralette thing I have from primark. I put the implant in there and they dropped very low as the straps are very fine! And also... they seemed HUGE !

He said I could have 400cc high profiles if I wanted. They just looked ridiculous on me!
I tried 285cc moderate, they looked good.
Then the 330cc  moderate they looked quite big and out there.
So yes trying them on they felt so big ! Then when I look at 330cc on girls here or on real self it looks great but trying them on there felt too big. Is it normal?

Also Im not sure about having overs... I think unders look better and more natural am I wrong?

Im going to book another surgeon soon so I can compare.

Hi, the thing is with overs, if you have enough breast tissue they will look great, the same as unders. If he says your suitable for overs you will be fine. 330 cc are a nice size it all depends what you want. The thing I did was to take pictures of what I liked and didn't. That way he gets a good idea of what your after. Sometimes the surgeons idea of size and yours differ a lot. They don't work in cup size. That's why it's good to take pictures. The fact that the implants pulled on your bra straps is because maybe the bra you had on was a bit flimsy. I wouldn't worry about that. It all depends on what you want to achieve as in size. The surgeon does this everyday so he will be relaxed, and him fitting you in October is not a bad thing. My surgeon was a top surgeon and I had to wait 6 weeks to allow me to stop smoking. Go on how happy you feel with the surgeon. Xxx

Thanks Anne, Im just on google looking at loads of 'overs' pictures, I dont know why I was sure I was going to get under the muscle and was thinking about loads of other things. Now he said over I need to do new research !

I just saw you had overs.. Could I have a look at your picture trail please? Dont worry if you dont feel like showing them to me though!
Did you have a lot of breast tissue to start with? Is cohesive gel silicone?

Thing is I took loads of pictures with me but they varied in sizes. Some I showed because I liked the shape but then I wanted them smaller. And vice versa. Must narrow the perfect shape and size !

If you look at any of the avi's on here, I bet you can't tell who has unders or overs. A good surgeon is a good surgeon, regardless of placement. It may well be that he can make a better decision on it once he's 'in there' which is common. But this is why we get more opinions, to see what they average and agree on.

Don't compare yourself to anyone else. If the 330 seemed too big for you, that's your choice. A lot of girls have sub300 implants, and fewer cc's will go a lot further on a petite girl.

See some more surgeons, keep trying them on, and see how you feel. It might be an idea getting something a bit more heavy duty to try them on though, implants are heavy, so it you're holding them up in spagetti straps, they're going to sag!!

Hello!!  Exciting for your first appt - but how come you got over an hour and I only got 10mins??? Obviously didn't like me!!  Or maybe he was having a busy day when I went - who knows!

He told me I could have overs too - he said that that is his prefered placement but, like you I found it odd as I'd alway assumed that since I'm thin and rather flat chested I'd almost certainly be having unders!  Both other surgeons I saw told me under the muscle would be the most suitable for me so I'd definitely recommend seeing others.  I think Brent just prefers doing overs which is totally fair enough as he's good at them!  I have to be totally honest and say I wasn't keen on his before / after pics on his website in comparison to others I've seen but the thing that made me go and see him was how lovely the girl with the red bra avi on the forum looks - and I know she rated him.  Also my friend is a doctor and she said Tanner does have a good rep but is known for being a bit of a 'character' - which I totally got when I met him!!  I agree - I think the implants when you try them on over your own boob look massive and I wonder how close to the end result they are!

See some other surgeons first - at least 2 I'd say. Its definitely worth getting other opinions. Even if you do use Tanner at least you 'chose' him rather than went with him as he was the first one you saw - I think you'd be wondering 'what if' otherwise!

Glad it went well! I would agree you must always see a range of surgeons otherwise you'll never know who's right! I obviously loved him, but we are all different! He is definitely a character but agree a very good reputation and his approach mirrors mine! He definitely favours overs as he feels they give a more natural result (so long as you have the coverage). But he gave my friend unders so definitely doesn't steer away from them. I liked that he took control of my options, as 1 surgeon I saw said I could decide what placement I had!! I had zilch before.

Put in the research and you'll get your perfect boobs!

Also all implants seem big when you first try them. Make some rice boobs and wear them for an hour or longer and suddenly they'll feel more 'normal'!

Re the time lucy... I know ! I was thinking this is going on Im lucky. I know a friend who knows him and recommended him so thought maybe he was making an effort because of that which was sweet but I did think of you.

I've just booked an appointment to see Angelica Kavouni. Has anyone heard of her? A friend of mine recommended her to me and said she was amazing but I know she is more specialised in labia plasty so would love to hear other experiences !
