Turnaround time...
Me again!
I know this probably varies surgeon to surgeon but I just wondered how long people have had to wait from first consultation until surgery date generally? Trying to get a rough idea. I'm meeting my favoured surgeon on 28th Sept (and a couple of others before that). Is it realistic to be getting the surgery done around Dec? I'm hoping to have it done around 18th so I can take 2 weeks natural break over Xmas (when our office goes to skeleton staff). I'm trying to hide the fact I'm having it done so this seems like a good time!
How much choice do you get over when to have it done?
Also curious to know if people have managed to keep it a secret (if you wanted it kept that way) - or if it became obvious! Close friends will find out sooner or later I guess - only takes a spa weekend and I'll whip out the new bangers!

Re: Turnaround time...
Hi Lucy!
I think it all depends on what dates they have available?
I booked in May but had already decided i wanted it done around the August bank holiday but i was given 2 other days in August too but i could of had it done sooner.
Im hoping for it to be kept secret at work but friends and most my family know! I have to wear a suit jacket though which is already too big around the chest so i dont think people will notice much! xx

Re: Turnaround time...
It depends entirely on the surgeon. If you're going private with a baaps, then it's normal to have a longer waiting list if they're popular. If you wanted to go commercial clinic, like THG, it could be they have openings in the next 2wks. I think the commercial ones tend to open their diary 3months at a time. I booked mine in march for June, but I know others have waited around 5-6months to see their preferred baaps surgeon. It'll just depend on their availabiltity.
As for secret, no one I didn't need to know knows. Most people do, because I'm not keeping it a secret, but it's not anyone's business. So work colleagues have no idea. Mine wasn't obvious, although I went aa to dd, I was always heavily padded before anyway. Plus people tend to be way more wrapped up in themselves to notice or care!

Same here Lucy! No one has noticed, and I think that's got a lot to with fact that I'd been wearing padded bras (also those '2 cup sizes bigger' bras for a long time). Relieved as I've not wanted anyone to know other than my closest friends xx

Re: Turnaround time...
Yep same with me - those 2 sizes bigger bras are good but the only one that fits right is the m&s one and they have stopped doing any other designs or colours other than black or white!! I'm hoping to get away with not telling anyone other than my husband initially. After that if people ask then I won't lie but at least it will be too late by then to let their opinions affect my decision.

Re: Turnaround time...
I went up 4 bra sizes but no one has noticed which is great as I didn't want anyone to know! I even went swimming with a friend today and she kept staring at my boons but didn't say anything so don't think she realised prob just thought I had a great bikini on lol
As for the waiting time it depends on your surgeon but I think that's quite realistic as a timescale. I went commercial with THG so could've had it done within the 2 weeks (but didn't as I wanted to wait)

Re: Turnaround time...
Hi I had to wait 6 weeks but then I had to give up smoking. It also gave me a chance to get organised as well. I also wanted to drop a couple of pounds in weight. Sort out child care, work etc so to have a little wait is a good thing xxx
